Super Solder
I had to re-solder the forearm stud onto the barrel of a H&R Shotgun. The results were spectacular, it is the easiest I have ever used for silver solder.

Great for places hard to reach with wire
I used this to assemble a mock-up of a rifle receiver from 5 "cut" pieces. After applying heat I could see the joint line having a yellow line and followed the line around the piece. When cooled i could see were the soldered had flow thru the whole cut to the inside surface and did not leave extra silver which can happen using wire, Great product !!
This is the best thing since slice bread
I used it to re-solder a front sight ramp back onto a Win. 94, made in 1955. The preparation took longer then the actual job. I used SS safety wire to hold the ramp in position. The owner of the rifle was very happy with the results.
Excellent stuff
I use this solder paste a lot for attaching ramped front sight ribs, or anywhere I need a solid joint at low temperature. When cutting sako extractors, you have to bore the nose out of the remington 700 bolt and then add a ring. This is plenty strong enough to hold that ring in place and removes any chance of overheating the bolt lugs. The paste makes it easy. Just dob it on, heat till the solder flows, message the joint and voila.
Not a good product for non steel components
Soldering is easy: Flux, tin, flow by capillary action into the joint. Temp indication on this however is extremely lacking. Therefore, when using you are not sure of the temperature because it never visibly flows in parts that are pocketed or have a hidden joint. With normal solder you heat until you get flow and you know the temp is adequate. with this you do not until you are well past that temp and only if you have a large enough qty of the material pre-applied. All in all, probably OK for a steel sight ramp. Not at all appropriate for a sweated joint.
