HK 416 HANDGUARD FREE FLOAT M-LOK Reviews & Ratings

Good, ergonomic, but some machining required...
I got a BRN-4 upper (10.4in) and mated it to a JP-15 complete lower, and noticed right away that the front pivot pin was binding. I ended up having to have 30mils ground off the back of the hand guard, or it would exert force on the pivot pin tabs on the lower receiver.
Once that was done, and it was re-blackened, it worked like a charm.
Maybe Midwest should send them from the factory this way. The HK416 upper was, after all, meant to operate with legacy M4 lowers.
Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Not the best
Handguard will slide forward 2mm after few rounds. I tried to crank 10 ft/lb on the bolt like Midwest instructed, but the bolt head just snap and had to return the handguard. It serve its job as a decent handguard if you don't mind the handguard slide forward 2-3mm.
WARNING: Requires cutting rings off gun
Surprised to find installation of this rail, which is described as for an HK416, would require sawing/grinding off both of the 416s sling loops/rings.
