Top of the Line Gauges from Forster!
This 1.4646 size is the correct size Go-Gauge for a firearm chambered in 5.56 NATO, although it does have .223 printed on it. The 1.3646 is actually the correct size for the .223 Remington chamber. This is a finely crafted head spacing gauge, especially at the Brownells price. I actually got it for less than the advertised price due to another one of Brownells sales, at the time of my purchase, in addition to free shipping. Thanks, Brownells!

Must Have If You Own a 5.56 AR15
After much research and soul searching, I decided on this Forster Colt spec Go Gauge of 1.4646 size for my 5.56 NATO ARs and upcoming builds, rather than the 1.3646 size, which in my opinion, should be reserved for .223 Remington chambered firearms, due to the slightly shorter throat dimension. Using this gauge on a completed firearm, there is no need to remove the bolt's ejector, only the extractor must be removed, as I learned from the highly acclaimed AR builder, Peter Egger, who has many U-Tube videos on the proper building including technical data on the AR platform. Brownells has virtually all the gunsmithing tools you need or want, for that matter, to successfully complete your next AR build. I purchased this gauge during one of Brownells many sales they have throughout the year and got it for lower than the price advertised, including shipping and sales tax. That, my 2A friends, is a rare deal I couldn't pass on! Thanks, Brownells, for another excellent product with your usual quality shopping experience!

This is my third Forster Gauge. This Gauge comes with instructions, is easy to use, is well made, and is a must-have for building a rifle, or doing a re-barrel.
