Great carding brush
Works well on Oxpho Blue after coating and drying. Use this brush to lightly buff it up. Easier and much cleaner than steel wool.
Great Quality!
I used this to card off rust while rust browning a muzzle loader barrel and it worked very well for the job. Bristles on this brush are the perfect for removing only the scale if used gently and not aggressively. All depends on how you use it, for my needs, it worked great!
Hand Carding Those Tight Spots
When you are done with the wheel & cannot get wire wool into the corners, then you reach for this. Just don't get too aggressive, it's a little stiffer than it needs to be. That said, it's what will let you finish the job, so that's great!
Good tool for rust bluing
This is a nice brush to have around when rust bluing, it will take the excess rust off quickly without harming the finish. I don't like to get too aggressive when carding so I never use a wire wheel, and this brush is a great tool when you want quick rust removal without any damage. It's also way easier to use than steel wool in all the nooks and crannies. For example, it will easily remove that last, annoying residue around sights, in serrations and other hard-to-reach areas. The bristles seem to hold up very well, they don't bend or break as easily as on other brushes. On the other hand, the bristles are a bit stiffer than I expected so you need to use a fairly light touch, or it can leave shiny streaks in the finish. I usually use it between the coats and use steel wool for the last coat to be safe, but I'm sure it can be used for the last coat if you "have the right touch".

This brush does exactly what I wanted. I use it to take off light sugar rust, as well as for carding when I do a rust blue. Great value
