GUIDE ROD ASSEMBLY GLOCK® GEN 1-3

GUIDE ROD ASSEMBLY GLOCK® GEN 1-3 Reviews & Ratings

Hardened stainless steel guide rod won’t break or flex and bind the spring like the factory plastic rod. Helps prevent cycling problems, improves reliability and overall performance. Features a captured, ISMI chrome silicon flat spring that’s heat-treated, shot peened, and calibrated to the factory-spec 17 lb. weight. Steel Allen head screw and washer secure the spring to the rod, yet enable easy disassembly for spring replacement.

Most customers found installation to be easy, although some noted the assembly was stiff initially and required a break-in period. Importantly, reviewers emphasized ensuring compatibility with their specific Glock models to avoid fit issues.
Noise and Break-In

Some users experienced noise from the assembly during the initial use, attributed to the spring rubbing against the guide rod. However, this was typically resolved after a period of break-in, with the sound diminishing over time.

no issues
Got this for a G23 polymer80 build and have had zero issues with it, but I have only put about 100 rounds thru the gun ( thus the 4 stars ). All in all I'm happy with my purchase.

Nice!
I am giving this 4 stars because when I received this part it did have a bit of break-in time to it. It worked right out of the box, the issue was the noise of the spring scraping the inner guide rod. But once it broke in, it was fine and the sound had worn away...I only had to rack the slide a handful of times and it was golden. I have this in a G20 and a G17, its great!
