FULL LENGTH DIE SETS Reviews & Ratings

Full length die sets are for bottleneck rifle and pistol cases, and they include a full length sizing die and a seater die. The full length die will bump the shoulder of the case to extent the die is adjusted up or down in the press. We suggest using a cartridge headspace gage tool to get the correct shoulder bump. The full length die also sizes the body of the case so it will chamber easily for the next firing, then the die decaps the spent primer. The expander ball passes through the neck of the case and sizes the neck to the correct tension. Cases must be lubricated before full length sizing.

The RCBS seater dies for bottleneck cases will seat bullets correctly in full length sized cases or neck sized cases. These seater dies have a built-in crimp ring to enable you to crimp the case into the bullet if you wish to. The seater die is easily adjusted to crimp or not to crimp by raising or lowering the die position in the press.

Full length 2 die sets are the basic building block of the reloading process. Many shooters wear out multiple barrels or rifles using just one full length reloading die set. We recommend that new reloaders start with a full length die set and learn how to set the dies up correctly before they jump in to other types of reloading dies.

RCBS 6.5 Creedmoor reloading dies

After getting a set of the 6.5 Creed. Hornady dies and ruining several cases and readjusting the dies several times I threw them in the trash and got the RCBS dies , which work perfectly. I should have gotten the RCBS ones to stat with. Ill stay with them from now on

This is a very good die set.

I have a Redding T7 press with 4 different FL sizing dies in 223. All of them will break de-capping pins. I ended up going with a separate press that is solely used for de-capping with the RCBS unit. That press is also used for pulling the occasional bullet with the RCBS collet puller. Bottom line is this: One can load very accurate ammo with this set up. Don't try to de-cap crimped primers with your FL sizing die. You will just end up bending your de-cap/expander ball rod. Then you will chase your tail with bad accuracy until you change dies again. Then it will happen again.

Quality reloading dies

The RCBS 300 AAC Blackout full-length dies are a great choice for anyone that is just getting started into reloading all the way up to the advanced reloader. These dies are very well machined with the inside smooth, polished, and free of any burrs that could damage the rifle brass. The high quality craftsmanship used to machine of these dies make resizing brass smooth, simple, and very consistent. The 300 AAC Blackout sizing die is very easy to adjust for sizing brass to the proper specifications. The bullet seating die is also very easy to adjust the bullet seating depth and the seating stem does not leave any marks on the bullets. The seating die also has built in roll crimp that can be adjusted by the depth of the die in the reloading press. Overall these dies are another high quality product from RCBS.

Very high quality dies

Absolutely wonderful product, it is a very well made die set, RCBS have an excellent reputation. These dies would have cost a small fortune here in NZ (we pay a lot for imported goods) so importing myself saved me a lot. Came well packaged and very quickly, thanks Brownells. Works flawlessly, would highly recommend, I am sure that it will serve me for years to come.
