EXTREME DUTY GUN OIL

EXTREME DUTY GUN OIL Reviews & Ratings

Used and recommended by major firearms manufacturers, Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil is specially formulated for high volume, high heat and friction firearms and was designed for full auto firearms, SBRs and suppressors as well as semi-auto rifles, shotguns and pistols. It offers superior burn-off, shock and heat resistance, unlike any other multi-purpose gun oil. A unique additive keeps the oil from running and migrating while the polymeric film protects from rust, wear and moisture and resists carbon, lead and copper fouling and dramatically reduces wear during all shooting conditions. Applying Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil to bores, bolt carriers and gas pistons makes clean-up of powder residue, copper and carbon fouling a much easier task. Apply a light coat to suppressor baffles, mounts, muzzle breaks and flash hiders to resist carbon build up and to make cleaning quicker and easier. It neutralizes acids from fingerprints and resists drying for long term storage use.

  • Developed for demanding lubrication during hard use.
  • Extreme working temperature range of -38°F to 400°F.
  • Great for ultra-sonic cleaner use for small or bulk parts lubrication.
  • Superior blow back resistance, keeping oil out of your face and off your glasses.

Excellent gun oil
The only lubricant you will ever need. It's heavier viscosity, about 20w or 30w. Good for any firearms, collectors to EDC to recreation. I have found there is a bit of a smell, mostly 'chemical' smell to it. If you don't mind that, it's great. Does not burn off, smoke, or sling off when being used. Also does not dry up or turn 'gummy' after storage. A bit pricey, but an 8oz bottle will last a while. This is the best gun oil I have found over other brands. Hope that info helps.

Awesome in old lever action
Completely ironed out the 50-year-old action of a new-to-me Marlin 1894. Even better, it smoothed out the little hitches and sticky bits in the cocking motion once I swapped in a new carrier with the other older parts. I was getting frustrated with the setup before I remembered I had some of this oil on then shelf. Needle tip allowed VERY thin application of oil on every sliding metal surface:. An instant cure to all the sticky frustrations. Will have to do some shooting to see how long the effects last. I am optimistic!!

Lucas Gun Oil
Hands down the best gun oil on the market. I use this ALL the time at the PD where I work. It lasts forever and there's no residue all over your guns (like with other oils). Highly recommended.

My primary gun oil
After over twenty years of military and law enforcement experience I have found a lubricating oil that lasts. I have used and evaluated this product for over a year now and I am overly impressed. I use it after cleaning to ensure I have oil exactly where I need it. And it lasts longer than any oil I have used previously. I also use it on my handcuffs and they stay in operation longer than before by more than double. This oil is thicker and withstands heat from the environment and from sustained range firing better than any standard oil. In short, this means your gun will still be operational through a range qualification or after months of duty carry. Even in desert summers in the Southwest.

Bottle is difficule to squeeze, but ....
I like Lucas gun oil for the reasons mentioned in previous reviews, and the needle applicator is a definite benefit for certain applications such as narrow pistol slide rails. The factory bottle I have, however, is very difficult for my old fingers to squeeze to dispense the oil. I placed the needle cap on a bottle that isnt so stout and now I love it.

A Must Have!
If you're running a Nickel Boron Bolt/Carrier Group, this is the oil you want! Other oil's & CLP that contain solovents will damage and destroy the EXO coating in the NiB and also tarnish it to an undesirable burnt yellow color. Fail Zero themselves recommended this oil to me. Since the first use, I never looked back and this is my go-to oil for everything. Works great in the barrel and on all other BCG's, moving parts, springs and detents. I highly recommend this oil to anyone who cares about the function and reliability of their firearm's.
