Packaging is not as good as the Oil...
Purchased two 8oz bottles of this Lucas Gun Oil. After unscrewing the top and removing the seal, I screwed the top back on, and used what I needed. I didnt over tighten the cap. When I reached to use it the next time, I saw the other items in my container had something on them. I looked for what it could have been, thinking it was the bottle of CLP or Hoppes, but it was the Lucas Gun Oil, specifically a failure of the screw on Lid. Ill let the picture speak for itself. Even if I had over tightened this cap, it shouldnt crack like this. I reached out to Brownells and havent heard anything back, its been more than a month as of 10.1.2020. The oil seems to be good and only time will tell how my equipment holds up. As a packaging design engineer, this shouldnt happen but I have experienced it before when suppliers have changed material quality/mix to save cost and make more money. Lucas likely doesnt make the containers, but they should have done their own QC on inbound goods from suppliers.
