Great product
I’ve been carrying these extensions in my duty weapon (Glock 21sf) for several years now and have never had and issue. I carry 5 mags with these extensions and they have proven to be reliable on the range during training.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Great product from Arredondo
Not sure what all the complaining is about in the other reviews. I didn't have any trouble with mine. I bought three of them. Maybe my familiarity with Arredondo products and I'm also a Glock Advanced Armorer probably helped some too. This item does not come with any instructions, and maybe that stumped some of the other customers. Oh well, the kit goes together easily and quickly. Fit and function are just fine. The last 3 rounds are sort of tight, but it will loosen up in time. This really improves the overall grip on the pistol too. Try one, I think you'll like it.
With 20 you get.....Eggroll ?
I like having 20 Rounds in my G20 Mags I run them in a MechTech MG20-M4....too cool Much nice to have 100 Rounds than just 75 :)
+5 base pad for Glock 20
Great add on kit increases mag capacity to 20 rounds for the Glock 20. It is very durable and easy to install. I have two of them and they feed with no problems.
I don't think I will be buying any more.
So, I decided to pick one of these +5 extensions up for a Glock 20 magazine, try it out, as it were. I have +2 extensions on most of my mags (from Lone Wolf), and they are hard to get that 17th round in, but they work, and are cheap. This extension installed very easily, and seems well built, but it simply does not work with my Gen4 magazine. After it feeds 5 rounds, the follower hangs up on the bottom of the original magazine, and the rounds just fall out with no spring pushing them anymore. I have removed significant material rounding the inside of the bottom of the mag, and sanded with 500 grit, until it is super smooth. Still hangs up about a third of the time. I'll probably keep trying to smooth and round some more, and hopefully get it to be at least mostly reliable. For something that costs MORE than a new magazine, I would expect it to actually work out of the bag. This is seriously overpriced for a +10% Wolff spring and three little pieces of plastic. I won't be buying any more of them, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Follower collapses
All attempts to make this mag extension work have failed. When fully loaded, the magazine follower sticks at the bottom, presumably where the extension meets the magazine tube. Efforts to trim lip of magazine tube per manufacturer recommendations have failed.
Easily broken, poor customer support.
This worked well for a while but. But during a drill it broke and popped off the mag spewing parts and bullets everywhere. I tried contacting ARREDONDO from their webpage but they wouldn't return any emails. I'll be avoiding their products in the future. They might be ok for competitions or plinking but I'd never want to trust my safety to them.
