Excellent tool
This tool works really well. Both I and a work colleague have used the tool to place the clip on the ejection port cover rod and it does that very well and easily. It can be a little tricky getting the clip inside the holder but I think that's just first time use but with more it will be much easier. All in all, if you work on ar15/m16/m4 rifles on the regular this tool will save you a lot of frustration.

Makes a Tough Job Easier
Replacing the tiny clip on the ejection port cover hinge pin is one of the most aggravating repair or assembly tasks on AR pattern firearms. This tool makes the job faster and easier. While this isn't the cheapest tool, it will quickly pay for itself in the time you'll save chasing down lost C clips.

Wow
When I was building my first stripped AR15 upper the clip went into orbit never to be found again. Ordered a few more clips and this tool. Piece of cake to install the clip. Not cheap but well worth the investment.

really helps
After having 2 clips fly into the unknown, I found this. Don't know how I got by in the past. It has a 1 sided channel, which is workable. If it were a 2 side u channel it would be perfect.

C-Clamp tool
It takes finesse to work those small C-Clamp using this tool…however, it works better than my thick calleous fingers.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Save your money
It's not like pictured, there is no ledge, putting the clip in the tool is as bad as putting it on the hinge pin.

Don't buy
Unfortunately it didn't work at all for me, certainly not worth the nearly 45 dollars it cost me..clips that came with the dust cover, nor the new ones I purchased would fit the tool.

Worthless!!!
One of the biggest waste of money I've ever done -- might as well as had flushed my hard earned money down the toilet. Hard to load & stay loaded, worked only once out of five tries, all the other times had to chase the C-clip down with a magnet. I have much better luck using hemostats -- at least that method is much faster with a 100% success rate and I don't have to chase after any C-clips. To bad there isn't a lower rating other than a "1" because this tool is completely WORTHLESS!
