GREAT Customer service
This wrench was missing from a recent order, (shipping box was crushed and ripped at some point In transit) customer service sent a replacement out quickly. Thank You!
Works Like A Charm
Awesome tool. Well constructed. On my first try to torque down my barrel nut on 30 ft. lbs., it went very smooth. Second time I pushed it to 40, no problems at all. Third time I pushed it to 50 and barely got my gas tube opening aligned. Lastly pushed it to 55 and nailed it with a breeze. To prevent pins bent, flush the tool all the way to the barrel nut and you'll be styling.
Good tool no issues
I used this wrench for 10 308 builds with no issues at all. The only thing I would suggest for any wrenches of this type is lengthen the drive squares farther from center so all torque wrenches will work. Great product
Quality Tool
i bought this to do an M5 build(6.5cm) using the Aero Precision barrel nut. i found out i need an AR15 wrench and not this one! i will be returning it but not due to bad quality, just an errror in judgement on my part(didn't read AP's intructions)! the only thing i didn't like about the tool just looking at it is the pins seem to be overly long! i think they can be shorter. i gave it 4 stars just for the quality as i was not able to use it.
Same as the rest, doesn't fit well
Does anyone make a barrel nut wrench that actually fits a DPMS LR-308 barrel nut? I gave this 3 stars because it fit a little better that the amours wrench I previously bought. I finally just used my 2 ft. pipe wrench. It did less damage to the nut that this wrench because the pipe wrench didn't slip when I put torque on the barrel nut.
Too big for my DPMS 308 Nut
Not sure how many stars to give an item that seems to be good quality, but doesn't fit what it should. I bought this wrench to use on an AR-308 built using a DPMS barrel nut ( 231000300 ), only to find that it was too big. Ended up using my PRI standard AR barrel nut wrench.
Not the right wrench
This wrench does not fit the Barrel I bought off you (078000443) but the wrench does seem to be real durable and heavy.
Pins bent at 30 ft-lbs of torque
Set torque wrench to 30 ft-lbs. Hand tightened barrel nut first. After getting to 30 ft-lbs I noticed two of the pins bent from the torque. With bent pins, the wrench is no longer usable. So now waiting on the DPMS wrench to get the barrel nut lined up for the gas tube.
