Excellent!!
I needed something for re-blacking part of a Glock slide. This did the trick.
great product
I have been using this for years restoring older weapons and touch up. prices change but this really works!
Great Results!
For years, I have been a big fan of Brownells 44/40 and have used it as the standard for testing other cold bluing products. I had also previously used the "creme" version of Dicropan T-4 and did not particularly like it. However, I now have to say after doing fairly extensive (non-scientific) testing of the Dicropan T-4 Liquid that I am replacing my 44/40 with it. It not only works as well or better than any other I have tried, but it is also less expensive!
Great alternative to cold blueing
This is a great product for touch ups and blending in dings or scratches. Like the directions say, prep is crucial. Clean/degrease area, then dry. Wipe/blot on (a saturated Q tip works great) let sit for a few seconds. Then wipe off with same bore cleaner/degreaser. Then I found you can rub in a little oil to seal in the color. Not so much for complete bluing, but deffinetly great for touch ups and blending any scratches. This sets as a really nice 'dark black' color when done. Works with carbon steel only. Hope that info helps.
easy
I only need a drop or two occasionally and shelf life is excellent.
Dicropan T-4
Have a Ruger P95 with the plum colored slide. Regular cold blueing products would not work, but Dicropan T-4 gave it an even and deep black color. Looks brand new.
