DELUXE PUNCH BENCH SET Reviews & Ratings

This deluxe punch set gives you a versatile selection of 20 punches to easily start, remove and install pins, align holes, plus drift and stake sights without marring the part or firearm finish. We combined alignment punches, flat tip mini punches, starter punches, a nylon drift punch, and a center and prick punch with our most popular pin punches, then added a machined Delrin® bench block to hold and organize them all for easy access. Punches are constructed of hardened steel with parallel-ground shanks and either knurled or hexagonal handles. The nylon drift punch is solid nylon and can be shaped for your specific application. Alignment punches feature a tapered pin with a working length almost 3" long to help ensure a tight fit with any size diameter hole size between the minimum and maximum outside diameter of the punch. Each punch minimum diameter overlaps slightly with the next larger punch to prevent any possible gaps in hole coverage. Mini punches are small diameter punches with a flat tip that provide excellent control because of their short length. Ideal for precision work and tight spots where a full-length punch just won’t fit. Use the starter punches to start the removal of roll or spring pins without causing damage to the pins or the punch. Short shafts give more control by putting your hand closer to the pin and prevents bending the longer, standard roll pin punches. Prick punch has a fine, sharp point for marking spots before center punching and staking sights. Gives better visibility and more precision to your marking. Use the center punch after the prick punch to deepen the mark for precision drilling. The pin punches are used after the starter punch to finish drive the roll pin or spring pin. Bench block is also available separately.

Mini Punches - Contains (1) of each diameter: 1?16" (1.6mm), 5?64" (2mm), 3?32" (2.4mm), 2ѕ” (7cm) long. Starter Punches - Contains (1) of each diameter: 1?16", 5?64" 3?32", 1?8" (3.2mm), 4” long. Prick Punch - Contains (1), 5?16" x 4” long. Center Punch - Contains (1), 5?16" x 4” long. Pin Punches - Contains (1) of each diameter: 1?16", 5?64" 3?32", 1?8", 4” long; 3?32" x 4Ѕ” (11.4cm) long, 1?8" x 4ѕ” (12.1cm) long, 5?32" (4mm) x 5” (12.7cm) long. Awesome set

This is a great set of punches pretty much covers everything a gunsmith or a beginner needs. I have owned other punches in my life but they always seem to bend or break these are well built quality punches. I also own the Brownells roll pin punch set and the brass set to. This is why I shop Brownells and have been for almost 30 years and the staff that works there are the best and will get you sorted out if you have a problem or need to ask a question

Great customer service

My review below mentioned a problem with the punch block. I called Brownells and they sent me a new block. All the punches fit great now. I am very happy with the tool quality and the customer service. I have bought many items from Brownells over the years and have had almost no need to ever contact them. They were very pleasant and helpful. Makes me glad I buy from them.

Very nice set of punches

The punches are great. I have other Brownells punches and they are top notch. I gave it four stars because as others mentioned the front row of holes in the block are not quite large enough. I will fix that and then I will give myself that extra star!! Glad I have these. Read the parts included carefully. There are three alignment punches in this set. I ordered the alignment punch set and will return it because they are included here.

Worth it!

Have enjoyed having the right sized punch at hand when needed. Much better than those supplied in the wood block encased hammer punch sets sold as tools for gun tinkerers. 4 stars simply because a few didn't fit the block but it was a simple matter to drill to fit. The punches themselves I'll give 5 stars.

Deluxe Punch Bench Set

I used the punches to take down a 870 in class and was hitting my punch very hard and they did not bend at all. Would have given them a 5 rating but the holding block wouldnt hold all the punches

Disappointed

Have not had a chance to use them yet, but was quite disappointed that the storage block did not have the holes identified as to which pin went in which hole. It was quite a pain to determine, and not helped by the fact that some of the names in the instructions did not exactly match the name on the sleeve the punch was in.
