Compact tactical mount securely positions an Aimpoint red dot optic the correct height above a flattop receiver rail. Fits Aimpoint CompC3/M2/ML2/M3/ML3 series, 3XMAG magnifier, and other optics with 30mm tube that require single-ring mounting. Skeletonized construction provides full support without the weight of excess metal for an exceptionally strong, solid, yet lightweight mount. Four, steel, hex-head cap screws anchor the top ring half to the mount to ensure full contact with sight body to prevent slippage. Rail Grabber clamping system secures the mount to receiver and maintains sight alignment even under the battering of sustained rapid fire. Unique, captive cross-bolt is divided lengthwise; one side provides a slop-free fit in a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny slot, while rotating the bolt a half turn exposes the side that snugs into the narrower Weaver-type slot. An oversized thumb nut with deep grasping grooves lets the operator tighten the mount with hand pressure only; coin slot in the head lets you apply additional tightening force with a U.S. nickel or quarter.
