Type I Perfect fit & Function
Great for my 1903 type I manufactured in 1904. Works flawlessly.
Works great
I bought a couple of these for use in my early Colt Hammerless type 1. I've used them a bit. They work just fine.
as described
fit and function fine. 100 rounds fired, no hiccups. no corrosion noted, appear as expected for new magazines. too bad they upped the price.
Fits and functions perfectly
This magazine fits and functions perfectly in my original 1941 vintage Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless 32 ACP. Seems to be fairly well made and decent quality.
Fits and functions same as original
Good fit, cycles perfectly from my vintage Colt 1903. Same performance as original magazine.
1903 8-round magazine by US Armament
This magazine functioned just as well as the original. They are a bit pricey, but best aftermarket magazine for this pistol. Gave it a four for the price, otherwise, its well-made and serviceable.
OK, with exception
I'm not sure who is the manufacturer of these magazines. I'm going to assume it is US Armament, the company producing the new 1903 Pocket Hammerless under license from Colt as they look mostly like the one that came with my new 1903. They fit fine, but when they arrived they were seriously rusted and discolored, but fortunately not pitted causing me to doubt they are "new." After a lot of cleaning with Flitz and generous wiping with Balisol, they look OK. Have not run them through the gun yet, so we will see after a trip to the range. Kind of disappointing to see a simple metal device like this arrive in such poor cosmetic shape, for that much money. Looks like someone is cleaning out the old inventory.
Does not seat in original Colt 1903
This magazine does NOT fit in the original Colt 1903 Hammerless as advertised. When side by side with an original magazine standing on the base, it is obviously several degrees off, thus when inserted into the magwell, the heel of the magazine is protruding 1.5mm so that the magazine latch cannot lock over it. I tried forcing it but then the magazine lips jam up into the slide and a metal tool has to be used to remove it from the gun. NOT A GOOD SCENE. Happy New Year anyway, George
