Assembling a G34 Slide
I purchased this item because I thought the slide I purchased needed one like the Brownell's Slides. The Alpha slides already have a liner installed in the channel, so I needed this part after all. On the flipside, I have used this part before with B Slides since they don't have them, and it works and is easy to install.

Channel Liner with Tool for Glock
I bought this channel liner and tool so that I could install the liner in a new Glock 17 slide I purchased. The tool worked as expected and the liner fit perfectly, so I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, as long as they don't require the ability to REMOVE a channel liner. But this liner and tool cost under $5, so barring some kind of weird damage to your existing channel liner I'd recommend against moving it from slide to slide.
Works Perfectly. No armorer hammer required.
I purchased this along with the Brownell Glock 19 Gen 4 slide for RMR sight. You need a new channel liner for the slide. You can not re-use channel liners that were previously installed in other slides.
I also purchased the Wheeler Armorer hammer that has a the dual brass and plastic ends for installation.
The channel liner went in with no problems. I did not need the hammer to place it in position.

You need this liner for a bare slide
For the Brownell's slide, the tool wasn't needed. I pushed the liner in by hand. Still, I may need the tool in the future.

Great to and liner
Had a Glock upper a buddy wanted built that he took to a gunsmith and somehow the gunsmith junked up the liner on "installation"! After spending a few minutes getting that liner out to see what I had, I obviously had to order another..... this kit was perfect! Slip the liner on the tool and slide it in the channel and finished the rest of the upper parts install. He took it to the range and it worked flawlessly!!
