Good, but...
Set your expectations up front- this isn't the acetate DS/EA stock; it's the classic XM style but modern materials and finish and 1/4 the price. Pros: classic style, works well on a modern 6 position tube, great price, and buying from Brownells. Cons: a bit of flashing along mold lines, either trim or sand down a bit. Wobbles more than a regular stock on positions 2-5; rock solid on 1 and 6, but sloppy on anything in between. Bottom line: Great for a fun retro-style build and pretty good quality barring the fit/finish and wobble issue but the retro snobs might turn their noses up. NEITHER WOULD STOP ME FROM BUYING AGAIN.

Smooth fit.
Fit great on my buffer (sorry I dont remember who made it). However, the stock itself feels a little thin. I'm not sure how much punishment it can take. If you're into that sort of thing.

Works good looks great
Wish it was aluminum but then it would be too expensive.

Blemish
Blemish lever. Stock is about 1" short than your m4 collapsible stock, making it a great choice for younger kids.

The right look for your CAR 15, XM177E2
Bought this for my XM177E2 replica build. It has the right look to it and it's light. If you're building a CAR 15 or XM177E2 replica, you will want one of these, don't forget to get the two position buffer tube it finish it off right. I do wish it were an exact replica of the original, but this is about as close as you can get today.

Pretty good
This is a pretty nice CAR stock reproduction. With B5 Systems making it (it comes in an unmarked clear plastic bag), I think it's about as strong as a CAR-15 stock could be. It's very light at approximately 4 oz. It has a smooth, matte black finish, no gloss at all here. It looks nice, but has the type of surface that you can scratch/mark with your fingernails easy. Fitment was okay on my Luth-AR milspec tube, with a little bit of play that a couple thin strips of Scotch tape on the inside of the stock could eliminate. the rear checkering is sharp, but not uncomfortably so. My only real complaint is the top edges of the adjustment lever's plastic are kind of uneven, and I've attached a pic to show this. It's not a huge issue, but I've seen other old CAR-style stocks over the years (when they were more common) with smooth top edges, and for $40, I would've expected this B5-made repro to be perfect. All in all though, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a CAR-15 stock, whether for a retro or lightweight-type build.
