best for gas semi-auto piston
The gas piston of my Fabarm L4S always gets heavy carbon deposits, I keep a jar full of C4 and use it to soak the piston while I clean the bore with C4 on a patch until it is clean. When I take the gas piston back out after soaking carbon wipes off easily with a paper towel.

Ive been using this product for two years now. I was using rimfire blend while shooting bench rest matches and my rifles just starting dropping out. I tried everything under the sun to get the carbon build up out. I was at my witts end with it. Im suprised my bore didnt stroke out after all the chemicals i put into it for carbon cleaner. I tried c4 and i kid you not in two sessions of applying it as directed on the bottle i was back to the metal. I now carry it only to the matches with me when im cleaning on the bench. I know for a fact i will not start dropping points because of carbon.
Removes the ring
Works well for removing the carbon ring build up in my 22lr bench rifles. Noticable improvement in accuracy.
Carbon Remover removes carbon!
Used this on a Remington 700 .308 that hadn't been cleaned in about 400 rounds. Had stubborn carbon deposits in all of the grooves, particularly the throat area. Tried a number of other solutions and methods that just wouldn't budge the carbon. THIS budged the carbon! Followed the instructions on the label - did it twice - and the bore is now bare down to the steel. Very impressed. Will be part of my cleaning regimen going forward.
it works
a little skeptical, but found it works very well with little effort. Followed instructions printed on the bottle, but main intent was to remove carbon build up in the leade area of the chamber. Found that brushing the entire barrel I lost the "seasoning" and took 15-20 rounds to restore accuracy. My results were confirmed with a bore scope
Worth the money
I used the C4 Boretech to soak 1911 parts and AR-15 components over night. Woke up the next day, and 4 years of carbon build up on the AR Components wiped right off, and the 1911 parts just needed to be cleaned off with a paper towel. Everything looked brand new. This product is a little pricey to be using as an overnight soak since it requires more than just squirting some on parts and waiting a few minutes, but Id still buy this again. Really wonderful product.
My go to carbon cleaner.
I use this in conjunction with their copper cleaner. I put some soaked patches through the barrel, let sit for about an hour then come back to finish. Works good for me.
I thought I had clean rifles...
I used other main stream cleaners for years and always thought I had nice clean rifles. Patches came out clean at least so I thought I was good. That is....until I tried C4. Holy cow! Took what was a sparkling clean barrel and after a quick soak, turned out black, brown and blue patches. Marketed as a carbon remover, which it does EXTREMELY well, but it also removes copper that was previously buried under carbon that sweets and other copper cleaners couldn't penetrate. This will always be on the bench going forward.

I use this stuff nearly on a daily basis for customers' guns. revolver cylinders, forcing cones, comps, muzzle brakes, AR actions. this suff just works the best I have used so far. I keep trying to find the best stuff and this is the best I have found so far.
