Target practice. It helps to release the slide "easily" not having to fight with small release. Easy to install and it works well. Have not found any yet, I have them in more than five guns.

I just received and installed this slide release lever today, on my Glock 27. It was a bit of a challenge trying to install it. Though that was mostly because the gun itself was being stubborn, and wasn't any fault of the actual release lever itself. Once i persuaded my Glock to cooperate properly, it was simple enough to swap out the release levers. Now that I have this new slide release installed, and have had a chance to play around with it a bit, I would highly recommend it to anybody. Its large enough to give your thumb the purchase it needs to operate the slide release better than the factory one, yet it is small enough to be completely out of the way until you needed. I'm definitely going to be installing one of these on every other Glock I purchase in the future.

I have used extended mag releases on this brand pistol for over 20 years now. I like the Ghost Bullet better than any other that I have used in the past. It is much easier to access than its factory counterpart. It feels very solid and positive. I suspect the gentleman who had his break, put the two front pins back in the wrong order which will make the pistol function improperly and can also break the mag release spring.

I purchased 2 of these. I instaled one in my Glock 32 and the other in my Glock 30SF. It takes less than 5 minutes to install if you are familiar with Glocks. They give the perfect amount of leverage back to the user to release the slide and chamber a round from a fresh mag. A must not only for competition shooters, but definitely for self defense when every fraction of a second could mean life or death. Practice, Practice, Practice!

Quality of construction is there. This isnt a cheap product. It does as advertised - it allows easier & faster manipulation of the slide release lever. However: Thats where it goes downhill. The lever is so easily manipulated that by slamming the bottom of the frame (by either fresh magazine insertion or gun empty) the lever fails to keep the slide locked back and it will shoot forward. Also, a thumbs-forward grip technique will ride the lever no matter what (I have small hands and admittedly had difficulty preventing this). Due to these reliability shortcomings, Ill be returning this item. Final word: Id youre a competitor that is only worried about quick slide release and split times, then this is a good product as its much easier than OEM. If youre looking for a lever for any other purpose, I advise looking elsewhere.

After less than 1500 rounds, the GHOST slide release gave up the ghost. I was very happy when I originally installed it; it is much easier to quickly operate than OEM. However, the portion of the component that contacts the magazine follower is just slightly smaller than OEM, and the tolerance between the internal bar and thumb catch seems a tad bit wider. This small difference allowed the slide release to tilt out every time the follower on an empty mag pushed the release into the slide, creating side to side friction and a much smaller point of contact between the slide and release. The inner edge of the release (the only part that was contacting the slide) started to round over from the friction of bad contact, and the slide is even showing some wear as well. After less than one hundred mag changes, my slide now releases from lock with not just a forceful mag change, but even just setting the gun down (slide release side down or up). I had originally though it was my magpul mags, then my aftermarket slide, but switching back to an OEM slide stop fixed all issues. Not recommended, and downright dangerous for a duty or defense weapon.

spring retaining portion broke after racking the slide for function check. Don't waste your money, very poor quality.
