BRN-180® FOLDING CHARGING HANDLE

BRN-180® FOLDING CHARGING HANDLE Reviews & Ratings

KNS has created a nice Charging Handle upgrade for the BRN-180® line of upper receivers. Based on the classic AR-180 line of rifles, the BRN-180® features a fixed reciprocating charging handle with an upswept angle. This can cause interference with some optics mounts making it difficult to charge the weapon.

The KNS BRN-180® Charging Handle has a linear shape that prevents possible friction with your knuckles, but also neatly folds down nearly flush with the side of the upper receiver.

Well engineered and a must have upgrade
This charging handle is the best upgrade you can get your BRN-180. So much easier to store your rifle in a rifle bag thanks to the folding feature. It also stays folded down while shooting and doesn't rattle or anything.

Excellent part!
This folding charging handle is excellent. I 100% recommend this for left handers, or people that shoot support side.

Great replacement for the BRN-180 charging handle
The dog leg charging handle of the BRN-180 can leave much to be desired. The only flaw I see with this charging handle is that it isn't on a hard detent in the out position. But that doesn't matter once you sling shot it as inertia swings it back into the folded state. It kinda whiplashes as the gun cycles. You do kinda have to dig it open, but I assume most BRN-180 users aren't using the charging handle outside of first round chambering and press checking.

Charging Handle
Works nice. A little concerned about durability at joint with rivet at that area.

Nice addition
I was having problems with begging my knuckles on my scope rings. This has been an incredible addition to an already great platform.

Much needed upgrade for the BRN-180
This is a great fit. It doesn't shake or fit loosely in the BCG of the BRN-180. The ball detents in the "in" and "out" are firm and audible, While it is not spring actuated, inertia takes care of that for you when you pull it to the rear and let go. Only time will tell if it holds up.

Better than the origninal
This bolt knob is superior to the bent original or the straight round knob upgrade - too bad it isn't original equipment.

BRN-180 Charging Handle
This thing works great. I like the way it folds to stay out of the way.

Nice change
I was always distracted by the original brn180 charge handle cycling. But this folding handle is out of sight. Only difference is ejection patterns. I was used to my shell ejection at 330. Now she'll eject everywhere. Travel is easier now because the rifle is slimmer.
