Magazine well too tight

I chose this lower because it doesnt have any logos, and is reasonably priced. The overall fit and finish looks great, and it has a decent fit to most uppers I tried. Not thinking ahead, I assembled this lower, and discovered afterward that the magazine well is way too tight. Even aluminum GI magazines require a significant shove to seat them properly, and they will not drop free, requiring a deliberate tug to remove them (even when empty). I really dont want to go through the hassle of returning this, and at the same time, I dont want to file or stone the magazine well (I shouldnt have to). Buyer beware.

Inner Dimension Magazine Well Too Tight

The Magazine Well INNER dimensions are so tight that a Brownells 20-shot aluminum magazine bound badly! It was extremely difficult to insert and almost impossible to remove! This would get you killed! (It's pre-drilled holes, etc were all fine.) This particular magazine fit easily into my other AR's. Several other magazines fit well into this Brownells Lower Receiver, but a few had enough friction to bind slightly. It was NOT just a matter of the anodized finishes of receiver and magazine making the fit so tight. It took over an hour of carefully stoning the inner magazine well to make it safe and compatible with the "troublesome magazine" and all others. It's fine now, but required A LOT of work on my part and would have gotten its user killed in a lethal encounter if unmodified.

Disappointing

The lower I received had more cosmetic flaws than I believe it should have given the quality I expect from Brownells. In my opinion, this should have been sold as a blem. The worst issues are a series of scratches/imperfections around the magwell near the serial number that are under the anodizing so they didn't happen in shipping or by my doing. I have other Brownells products that are of much higher quality and I am quite disappointed in this.
