Easy to use
Used with 79 degree cutter. Did exactly what it was intended to do. My rifle had started expanding from its original.5 MOA avg, with a new crown I shot five groups averaging just under .5 MOA!
Well Made
Well made brass pilot. It was a perfect fit in .45 Auto barrel.
Perfect
I decided after installing barrels the hard way for way too long, I would see if these are worth the money. They definitely are!
...still works
In this day and age of everything being disposable it is heartening when products continue to be supported years after introduction. I purchased the 11 degree, 3/4" cutter many years ago from Brownells and to this day they are still offering pilots for that product. I bought this .400 pilot in hopes that it would work for my Winchester 1910 401sl. It was a wee bit too small... it fit perfectly in the cutter so I ended up refacing an abused 40 S&W Glock barrel.
Simple and easy to use
Used with drill press attachment and slow speed. Worked great. Would have been just as easy by hand.
Worked like a charm on my mosin nagant
I bought this even after being confused as if this would fit my 91/30 Mosin Nagant. Well, it fit perfectly and worked like a charm.
.357 BBL. Revolver Muzzle Brass Pilot
Used this with Brownells 45 degree, 5/8" chamfer cutter (#080-588-625) to re-crown my S&W 627PC & 686. The pilot measured .3445" diameter which was a good fit for my bore (.3455 & .3460") diameter. Purchase Brownells Facing & Chamfering Cutter Handle (#080-589-000) to use these together.
