Great tool
Handy tool for crowning or repairing the crown of pistol or rifle barrels. Easy to change barrel guide that won't mar the rifling and allows for one set of cutters to be used for several different calibers. Does take a little practice to get the best results.

go very slowly
I bought this kit and a .44 pilot. I was about to declare these tools useless due to extreme chatter when I finally cracked the code. The key for me was to turn the cutter very, very slowly (with lots of cutting oil). When I feel it bite, I slow down even more. I wound up with beautiful crowns on a .45 ACP and a .44 mag 10.5" bull barrel. I'm extremely pleased with the results, once I got the hang of it.

It will do it..and well
This has paid for itself. I worked on 2 of my own personal, and 3 from friends. Patience, and time is all you need to get a perfect finish from this tool kit.

Cut my 30-06 group in half !
After recrowning with this muzzle set, and a good bore cleaning with J-B bore cleaning compound,my groups with a Remington 30-06 went from four inches to under two inches!

One Flaw That Needs To Be Addressed
The 90 and 45 degrees cutters work great. However the Brass Pilot was too large for both my 9mm barrels. Another reviewer made the same observation. In the Q and A someone had asked if this was the correct set for 9mm and they were told it was. I would have had to drive the pilot into my barrel with a hammer. To solve the issue I chucked the pilot into my drill press and using progressively finer grades of emery cloth I polished it down until it fit the barrels. Once that was done it worked great on both barrels.
