Great AR accessory
I hunt with a 350 Legend AR-15. I've taken 3 nice bucks in the last 3 years but never recovered my empty cases. This device solved the problem. Brass drops almost straight down, making it easy to collect and repurpose. There is no damage to the cases that I can see.
Easy to install as well.
Great deflector just as pictured!
Fast delivery; same as picture. Great deflecto. Always happy with Brownells service!
Piles the brass nicely
Fits nicely on my CMP/NRA Service Rifle-approved AR-15 competition gun -- and works well -- dropping the brass into a small area instead of it going all over the place!
Great
I have two of these. They only take a second to install/remove, they dont damage your brass, and it drops the empties at your feet. If you are a lefty with a retro slick side, they are a must-have. I even bought one for my buddy, John Redcorn.
A handy addition to shooter and reloaded
Currently using on AR15s that dont run optics, but have also found a use on the Ruger PC9 that is using a red dot. These deflectors make brass recovery much easier for reloading, and they help prevent driving the shooter next to you crazy from hot brass. Really a good simple design and very sturdy.
Excellent!
Wow! This deflector is fantastic. It puts the brass exactly at 2:00 oclock without adjusting. I actually carry my bucket with me and out of 120 rounds, only 2 didnt make it in the bucket but it was very close. By adjusting it you can change where you want the brass to go. Keep up the good work!
Great PCC gas defector
Ordered this more as a gas defector for my blow black PCC as I am a lefty and was annoyed by the gasses from my PCC blowing in my face. It has worked great for that, to the point I don't even notice the gasses anymore. Only downside is it does take up quite a bit of space on the the rail, which requires you to mount any optics farther forward. Not a big deal for me because that is how I like a dot mounted anyway.
A3 Deflector works fine
Bought the A3 model to try out with my new ruger pc9 9mm carbine, just to prevent or reduce (Being a lefty) , the pc9 blowing back gas/particles on my cheek. Surprised to find it actually worked. So impressed bought another A3 for my DB9R 9mm rifle which has the same problem. Can always count on Brownells to come through with the right part or accessory.
Lefty with an A1 Approved
Admittedly I wasn't 100% sure on the differences between an A1 and A2 upper in this area of the carry handle, but figured if it wasn't quite right I could modify it to work. Well I can report that it fits my A1 upper exactly as it appears to be designed to (and can thus assume that this portion of the A1 and A2 carry handle/upper is identical). Haven't shot it yet, but don't feel I need to in order to give it a 5 star rating already. It locks in pretty tight (even tighter as I added a couple pieces of black electrical tape to protect my finish) and quality seems good to go. Finally, no more brass dings on my upper, and more importantly, my face!
Versatile
The model I have with the eight tangs works great on my A4 removable carry handle AR whether I use the carry handle sights or have the scope mounted with a low adapter rail. A 2" notch along the solid side of the adapter rail allowed this to slide right into the receiver notches and do it's work. Puts the brass on the ground next to me. It slightly dents the case mouths, but they come right out during sizing. Great product!
