BOLT EJECTOR TOOL

BOLT EJECTOR TOOL Reviews & Ratings

The Brownells Bolt Ejector Tool is a tough, steel clamp that captures the bolt head, and the large-handled turnscrew depresses the ejector so the ejector pin can be safely removed or installed. The complete set includes turnscrews to fit both standard and small bolt faces; also included are separate bolt head retainers. The Brownells Bolt Ejector Tools work on bolts with plunger-style ejectors and forward-positioned locking lugs only. Instructions are included with the either the complete set or just the tool.

works great
A must have to remove the ejector plunger and spring. such a simple design, but works flawless on a 2 lug bolt

A great tool...
I tested it on 3 AR platform Bolts.... Works great... Tks

Budget minded.
I purchased this because I needed to check a headspace on barrel/bolt. I did not want to put alot of additional costs into the build. This thing works in a pinch. I had to use the vice and a delrin support block to get a good position. It worked. If this is going to be a regular task, I would invest the extra dollars in the upgraded Brownells jig.

Economical tool for the job
Read the instructions... My only gripe is one thing,"You have to clamp it real good while installing the roll pin.

Great Tool
Works exactly as advertised

Needs offset
Worked ok, but with AR bolt ejector, would be better if screw in device was offset to engage ejector and not in center.

Snot so good
End of the bolt installed into the handle is too narrow. Should have been a Bigger Diameter to sit correctly into a 5.56mm bolt so you would not have to finagle to place it over extractor pin. Not that easy to use, but will work. Poorly designed.

Horrible
Yeah definitely wouldn't recommend. The bolt likes to slip off all the time and it's impossible to lay it anywhere and the weight of way the bolts locked bends it off center. Unfastened when you start banging on the bolt. Just get their premium one I have 0 complaints about that one.

A disappointment. Failed
After 38 years of trying to remove the AR ejector without assistance I finally broke down and purchased this tool. It did not hold up. The jaws bent. The handle separated. It was marginally helpful at best. I upgraded to the more expensive but much better Brownell's ejector tool that can be placed on the bench. The more expensive tool is far superior and makes ejector removal a snap.

fell apart
The cylinder section in the handle fell out. Seemed like it would work great but I can't tighten the driver part of the tool to depress the ejector.
