BLUE LINE 12 GAUGE

BLUE LINE 12 GAUGE Reviews & Ratings

The Blue Line Pump is a new full featured 12 Gauge Shotgun at a great price. With traditional Pump Action Shotgun controls, such as the cross bar safety and slide release, you will be right at home with the Blue Line Shotgun. The 18.5 inch bead sight barrel combined with a 5+1 capacity out of the box make the shotgun a handy package. Buttstock and forend are compatible with aftermarket Remington 870 parts, making this an easily upgradeable gun.

Receiver and metal components feature a matte black finish, with the furniture also being molded in matte black polymer. Sling swivel studs are conveniently located on the magazine tube cap and at the rear of the stock.

A working shotgun.
If youre expecting a beautiful collector grade shotgun, think again. But if you need a good all purpose shotgun youre not afraid to put to work, here you go. Pros: price, youre hard pressed to find a Remington stripped receiver at this price. All metal construction beats the polymer trigger housing group of an 870 group, although for peace of mind, you may want to do routine upgrades like carrier dog spring, magazine tube spring and follower. While I planned to dump the furniture for something else, its actually not terrible. Decent squishy recoil pad, short enough length of pull to get a good stance, although it does have the extended fore end if you plan on mounting a side saddle shell holder. Cons: these come shipped in a triangle shaped cardboard box with several large markings saying its a gun. Easy target for theft. Inside the box the gun is sealed inside a plastic bag with close to a pint of shipping oil poured inside. While it protected from rust, the back of my car smells like cheap motor oil now. As far as the extended fore end, a six shot side saddle wont work, and a four shot can become a pinch point if youre not mindful. 6+1 capacity is for 2 1/2 inch shells, as others have mentioned, 2 3/4 shells will get 5+1

Seems Solid
I have yet to shoot it because it's a Christmas gift for the other half but it seems like a very solid shotgun especially at this price point. If it runs well I will buy another. FYI a 2 round extension stucks well past the end of the barrel.

Hefty Shotgun
Although I have not fired this particular shotgun, I have given it a once over. My impression of it is that the weapon is a bit on the heavy side, although i would think the weight would help in the recoil of the shotgun. Remington 870 after-market furniture can be used on this "clone." I plan to "beat it up" with alot of assorted rounds. Fingers crossed.

Good Shotgun for the Money
The main reason I bought this is because of the price. I was a bit Leary of buying a Chinese made shotgun, but I wanted something relatively inexpensive, while still having reasonable quality. If something was wrong, then I wouldn't have been out of a lot of money. I did install a Hogue stock and forend. The stock fit perfect, the forend not so much. The opening for the forend was a hair too small. I ended up taking a Dremel with a sanding drum on and was able to lightly remove enough material to allow it to slide onto the cylinder. Overall I am happy with the shotgun. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the forend not fitting properly. Even though it says it may be compatible with 870 furniture, that may not be the case for other brands.

Blue Line Pump 12 Gauge 18"
The fit and finish are good and don't feel cheap, considering this is a budget rifle. I took it apart once I received it and cleaned it up as this was sealed in a plastic bag with lots of oil and silica bags. I plan to use this product in an upcoming shotgun training class. Feels just like a Remington 870 even the weight is just about the same. I was only able to load 5, 2 3/4 shells in the mag tube, plus 1 in the chamber.

Blue Line Pump 12 Gauge 18
Very solid construction with smooth action. Other than it being made in China I can find no fault.
