After seeing YouTube reviews this purchase of the Blue line shotgun seemed like a no brainer. I purchased the shotgun and it promptly arrived in a cardboard box. My gunsmith was impressed on the quality of the construction for the price as was I once I held it for the first time. I disassembled it later on and cleaned and lubed with battle born grease. Functions better than many 870s that I had used in the past. Feeds everything as it should. Upgraded with treeline forend light for a perfect basic defense setup.

Well built, solid steel. A bit on the heavy side, but recoil is mild compared to some other 12 gushes I have shot due to this. Plan on taking it apart for a good cleaning, which is fast and easy as soon as you get it. Makes it operate much smoother. Have shot 110 rounds through it from 7.5 bird shot, 00 buck to rifled slugs. Very accurate with all. No feed or functioning failures. Great home defense gun as long as the weight is not an issue for you. Don't see any mim parts, should last a lifetime. It's a tool, not a "pretty gun".

Excellent shotgun for the money 100%

As other reviewers have stated this is a Norinco Hawk 982. In my opinion the Hawk is one of the most durable, and reliable shotguns on the market. I have owned two different Remington shotguns, and this version is far more robust than either of them. The construction on this gun is extremely solid. The receiver walls are thick enough to inspire confidence, and even the polymer of the furniture is VERY solid. As a matter of fact the stock polymer furniture is much more rigid than any aftermarket pieces that I've encountered. The checkering is very effective at keeping your hands from slipping, even when wet, and the rest of the stock is finished in a texture that helps aid in retention in inclement weather. The gold bead shows up very well and is perfectly centered. I also appreciate that the tube easily accommodates six 2 3/4 shells. If yours has trouble doing so, it's very easy to find video tutorials on how to correct this, with less than two minutes worth of work. The weight of this shotgun might be a detractor for some, as it is solid steel, throughout. This is not a quick pointing trap gun, so please do not expect it to handle like an 870 Wingmaster. Instead it is a very reliable, simple to operate and well-functioning defensive tool. Also, as far as I know, the only parts on this shotgun that do not exchange directly with an 870 are the bolt and barrel, making upgrades and modifications much, much easier to perform. Apologies for the lengthy review, but I cannot state how highly I regard the Norinco Hawk 982 (Blue Line Pump Action). This is the second that I have purchased, and both have performed flawlessly.

This gun appears to be imported by a company called Blue Line, but it's actually a Chinese made Hawk 870 clone. If you can get over the made in China stamp, it is actually an amazing shotgun for the money. Runs just as good, if not a little better than my Remington 870. Stock and forend are compatible with alll aftermarket 870 accessories so you can really trick it out.

So, the Blue Line Pump is being imported by a Canada based company called Blue Line Solutions, but it's original manufacturer is China North Industries, aka Norinco, the makers of the Remington 870 clone Hawk shotguns. Those Hawks have been in the US market for DECADES, imported by several different companies (IAC, SDS Imports, and others). If you bought a Civet-12, mag fed pump action shotgun, THAT TOO is a Norinco made 870 clone. I've had these guns for years, and they run just as well, or a little better than the Remington 870 Express. The stocks and fore-ends are 100% compatible with the 870, so you can upgrade the heck out of these. This is the shotgun that we wish the Remington 870 Express was. Yeah, it's a little heavy, since it's all steel (even the trigger guard is steel). You'll need to take care of the finish. But you have a seriously great shotgun!

If youre expecting a beautiful collector grade shotgun, think again. But if you need a good all purpose shotgun youre not afraid to put to work, here you go. Pros: price, youre hard pressed to find a Remington stripped receiver at this price. All metal construction beats the polymer trigger housing group of an 870 group, although for peace of mind, you may want to do routine upgrades like carrier dog spring, magazine tube spring and follower. While I planned to dump the furniture for something else, its actually not terrible. Decent squishy recoil pad, short enough length of pull to get a good stance, although it does have the extended fore end if you plan on mounting a side saddle shell holder. Cons: these come shipped in a triangle shaped cardboard box with several large markings saying its a gun. Easy target for theft. Inside the box the gun is sealed inside a plastic bag with close to a pint of shipping oil poured inside. While it protected from rust, the back of my car smells like cheap motor oil now. As far as the extended fore end, a six shot side saddle wont work, and a four shot can become a pinch point if youre not mindful. 6+1 capacity is for 2 1/2 inch shells, as others have mentioned, 2 3/4 shells will get 5+1

I have yet to shoot it because it's a Christmas gift for the other half but it seems like a very solid shotgun especially at this price point. If it runs well I will buy another. FYI a 2 round extension stucks well past the end of the barrel.
