Sierra Blitz King bullets
These bullets work great in my 223 . Very accurate and won't break the bank. The 55 grain bullets loaded with Tac powder are a great confidence booster for my grandkids hunting predators or shooting targets.
Great Bullet
I have been shooting this bullet in my Savage .223 Rem for 8 years. It is very accurate and effective on prairie dogs.
Most accurate bullet
The sierra .224 cal 55 gr. Blitzking a one of the most accurate bullets I have loaded and shot in the Rem. 22-250 cal. varmit rifle I load it with H380 pwdr. and obtain 1 ragged hole at 100 yds. and it turns a Coyote inside out more or less. Devistating.
Great small varmint and target bullet
Been using these 50 grain BK's since the first year Sierra came out with them a little over a decade ago, IIRC. Absolute the best prairie dog bullet I've used or seen any of my shooting buddies fire downrange. My rifle is a 1-12" twist 26" barrel in 223 Rem. For some reason they have been even more accurate than the 52 or 53 grain SMK's. Probably just a fluke with my loads and my rifle but fact remains they will shoot one hole groups at 200 yards if the wind or mirage don't' get you. They are extremely frangible yielding great results on little varmints. I've read others say the BK's give poor performance on coyote size varmints and I'd believe lack of any penatration as they blow up on contact with anything. That's a good thing when prairie dog shooting. For one you get practically zero ricochet and you can kill a P dog with frags off a near miss. My longest hit on a parries dog with a 223 was 554 meters measured. Even though the 50 grain BK is getting slow down there it still launched the head and shoulders into the air a foot or so. 50 grain BK's are far more frangible than the 50 grain Blitz or SX soft nose bullets we used to use on coyotes when they were worth big dollars. The 50 grain bullets would not leave an exit hole while the 55 grain , which have heavier jackets in general , would leave coffee cup sized exit holes. With the near zero pelt value on a coyotes now days I use a 243 win or an AR in 223 Rem with 1-9" twist and 65 grain Sierra Game king SBT. If I were ever to take my heavy 223 bolt gun in 1-12" twist coyote shooting I'd use the 53 grain SMK's it's generally zeroed to and consider the BK's to frangible to be ideal.
Great bullet stay away from fast twist
This bullet is very explosive on critters. It will not handle fast twist rates (1:7 or 1:8) with velocities over 3000fps well. 55gr V-Max has the same issue. Very accurate.
Very accurate
I shoot these in a 22BR and they are extremely accurate. I find that the V-Max bullets are more explosive, but not by much. Sierra is the king of accuracy.
