GREAT Product !
+3 in a Glock 17 rd mag = 20+1 in the chamber, Duty & Concealed carry. That's 61 rounds with 3 mags! The balance is perfect with the additional weight and the mag drops freely with ease. Installation is simple, remove the OEM base pad and the little plastic spring pad underneath it. Use the spring that came with the mag and DO NOT tighten the silver pins set screw. It has Loctite on it and is set at the perfect tension to retain the pin. Your warranty is void if you strip the threads in the aluminum base because you tightened it. Match it up with Taran's carbon fiber backplate and Combat Master trigger kit.

Just for looks
The baseplate was easy to install and it looks good but I guess I was expecting it to be a bit heavier. When I got it I honestly thought it was plastic with how light it was. Took a scribe to it and sure enough its aluminum.

Great Product but Lacking
At first look the Taran Tactical base pad is a great looking product. The base pad works perfect on a stock Glock with no end plug. Where I had a few problems was with my Magazine well. The little locking Bar hits the magazine well if it is flushed off on the bottom of the magazine and stops the magazine from locking in. This is a great product and could be better is they would have also included a new Extended Magazine spring

Just Ok.
Had high hopes for these to replace factory magazine parts. They did not include a new spring or directions (not that I needed them). Problems with rod hitting my magwell leaving just a millimeter of actual rod left securing it to magazine. Ordered 3 and one was severely scratched up. Just my opinion but these are very overpriced for what you get and what is included.

Stick with the factory pad
These are great looking parts. The finish is exceptional. That said, stick with the stock magazine. The internal dimensions of these pads are too small to accommodate the follower and spring. The follower and spring become bound in the base pad resulting in an occasional one round gun. This happens with the new springs Taran provides and with new Wolff extra power springs. Buy them to play but don't bet your life on them.
