Tikka T3x CTR- Bushing
The number 7, at 1.150 is the correct bushing for the Tikka T3x CTR 24" 6.5mm Creedmoor Bolt Action Rifle. I used blue painters tape around the barrel and action and pine rosin in the bushing. You will tighten the barrel vise to extremes you would think that would crush the barrel. Tikka is notorious about what it takes to break their actions loose. I didn’t use heat but at the end of the day I used a 3’ cheater pipe to break the bond. No scars no mars on barrel or action after removal

Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Yep it works
I was using another vise. I had a 722 barrel that wouldn’t budge after 72 years. Clamping force on Brownells vice was excellent. No rosin needed.
A solid buy for sure.
Taper bushing perfect for sporter barrels
This barrel vise and bushings is great...this particular taper bushing is perfect for cracking loose a tough sporter barrel. Highly recommend the whole package! With this and the 1.2 and 1.250 I haven't needed any other bushings from full Proof Contour down to factory sporter barrel.
barrel vise bushings
works well. makes a difficult task much less difficult. You can always count on Brownells quality.
Time saver for turning your own bushing
I have turned my own bushings from aluminum round stock; however, this is a great time saver if you are turning your own bushing for a unique barrel size. The outside diameter already fits the barrel wrench, so you can just mount in your lathe and then turn the inside with a boring bar to the needed inside diameter, then split using your mill.
Perfect for installing Carbon barrels
This is the perfect tool for installing Christensen Arms short chambered barrels on your Rem 700 footprint receiver. The smooth hard surface can clamp right on the carbon without marking it..
Works great
Works great, have used it for two 700s that had the factory barrel, no slipping and that contour matched exactly
Must have.
I bought this to install a barrel on a customers rifle. When measured correctly, they fit the barrel perfectly. Use an index card between the barrel and bushing for added grip and not mar the finish on the barrel. It's a must have for installing or removing a barrel.
Fits Mauser 98 barrels
This is another of the bushing I have for my Brownells barrel vise and this one fits the Mauser 98 barrels quite well I did have to apply rosin to this bushing to get one particularly tight barrel out but that one was exessivley tight The nominal ID of this bushing is .948 but more importantly it is made to fit the Mauser Barrel profile Overall a handy bushing to have if you plan on rebarreling any Mauser actions!
