While the heat shield appeals to budget-conscious buyers, some feel that the price does not justify its quality and recommend investing in more reliable OEM alternatives instead. This suggests that although initially attractive, the product may not provide long-term value.
A good buy
This was an easy install, it is not a custom piece built specific to any gun, it is built to fit every 870 ever made. Take your time and you won't damage the finish on your weapon or on the heat shield. The instructions are pretty clear and easily followed (I read them afterwards) no modification was required to my weapon (H&R Pardner Protector Pump) even though I installed an 870 wood stock and forearm and a +2 magazine extension. The heat shield does require a little patience for a good tight fit but looks good after installation. It is a great deal for quality and looks, especially because it it metal and cost the same as some synthetic models
