Sight adjusting tool
This Wheeler sight adjusting tool worked great on my 1911 and other Pistols.
Excellent Product
I opened the box, read the instructions, oiled all the threaded surfaces and ran these as far in and out as travel allowed. I cut three small pieces of card stock for each slide of the slide and a third for the top of the slide for protection from hold down. I moved the slide hold down to the lowest position. I centered the H shaped push block and set the side between the paired centering locks with two of my card stocks in place. I tightened one side and checked reference grooves in base for straightness. And tightened these into position. I set the top into place and positioned my third piece of cardstock. I lightly turned the knurled nuts down. I then checked clearance of the push block relative to the top of the slide and the bottom of the “H” pusher block legs. I allowed about .062” clearance here adjusting the hold down block to set this gap and tighten the knurled nuts. I made a small pencil mark on the left and right side of the sight blade onto the tip of the slide. I put a drop of oil on my sight and began turning the X handle. The front sight moved easily. This was on a Kimber 1911 that was factory inserted with a hydraulic pusher. This is an impressive tool. I called Wheeler and thanked them for a nicely made tool.

Works
I have a NcStar Universal Pistol Rear Sight Tool. The only pistol, in my inventory, that it worked with is a Colt Double Eagle. It definitely was not going to work with my HK P30.
The Armorers Handgun Sight Tool worked perfectly. I had no issues with the P30 front and rear sights.
This sight tool holds the slide better. Will accommodate more makes and models. It's very simple to use. So easy instructions aren't needed.
I definitely recommend.
Was skeptical for no reason
I’m an OCD freak and a gun snob.I usually don’t even look at wheeler products, but a buddy of mine told me to check it out, so I ordered one instead of ordering the MGW brand. I wanted one to replace sights here and there and to adjust the sights on the pistols I have that aren’t dead on . I hate to aim at something and the point of impact be off. When the tool showed up I was very pleased with the quality and ease of use…..it’s built just as heavy duty as the MGW brand tool. VERY HAPPY!
Handgun Sight Tool
I have not had a chance to use this tool as of yet, but it seems to be well made, rugged and should be easy enough to use.
Its a good tool! A+ the work is in the p
Now I dont give reviews mich but I believe this is a good tool solid and built its the best you can get i think. Can you just use a pinch and hammer yes, but this is nice too. Now the work is all in the prep. Oil the screws and the tool. The sights are built to be alittle positive of tolerance you have to slowly stone/sand (wet sand) the bottom of the sight until it just about goes half way, when sanding or stoning use a circular pattern. I pulled a night fusion installation guide for a glock. The product guide says drift left to right but the install guide i found did it the other way. I drifted from right to left. Im using a brownells g17 slide with no rmr cur and no window. Im using hi viz steel sights. So I put on 1 layers of tape setup the tool to be parallel to the drift head and stoned the sight. Be patient, the sanding and fitting took most my time. The stone wasn't working too fast so I stepped it up to oil and sandpaper. Id use 1000 but all I had was 400 then would finish with a fine stone. Well I had tight and I mean tight, I probably should have stoned alittle more but I went ahead, I put some force on it and the tool did it. When pushing the sight started binding and I would put so much turns on it and it would clunk like it relieved tension. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the sight tool or slide and its tight and right in the middle so I left it. I also placed the sight moved into a soft jaw vice. This is recommended by me, the the amount of force I needed it had to be stable. Read the directions and take your time that is my advice. Also read the wear marks and act appropriately. The only con i have is the price, its a chunk.
Armorers Handgun Sight Tool by WHEELER E
I used the tool on two Sig P 200 series pistols, I also used masking tape on the slides for protection. No issues,
Very Good!
Very powerful tool, only limited by your physical strength. Be careful as you can scratch a slide. Be sure to use some shims between the slide and clamps. Business card stock works well.
Great tool!
I have tried several sight pushers and they are either to difficult or require a different shoe for every model of gun. This machine works well. I have read the negative reviews and completely disagree. If you follow the directions, it works every time...have had this one for about six months and done several tritium sight sets with it and absolutely no issues...beats drifting with a punch. Best thing is you can precisely line up the sight for windage correction.
