Each Midwest Industries AR .308 Upper Receiver Rod is machined from 4140 steel, an ordnance-grade metal that's designed to handle abuse. The working end of the tool is sized right for any standard AR-style barrel extension and will remove seized barrel nuts without harming the upper receiver.

Doesn't fit Sig AR-!0's as received. Some QC issues as well
Required some mill work to make use of this tool. Cut a small flat on the shaft as it jammed up from contact with the small wear pad at the rear edge of the ejection port. The spine was a little warped and also jammed up the tool in the upper. Ran the mill down one edge to cure. Tool work well after a little adjustment.
