The ATLAS S-ONE is the newest addition to the Aero Precision Handguard lineup. Machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum, the S-ONE line of handguards are designed with size and weight in mind, providing the perfect handguard for your lightweight build. Aero's proprietary ATLAS attachment system is a durable and dependable mounting platform, maintaining a slim profile while still providing the strength and stability customers have grown to love from Aero Precision handguards.

ATLAS

The new Aero Taper Lock Attachment System (ATLAS) is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It features 2 mirrored tapered locking nuts that provide evenly distributed clamping pressure across a custom engineered barrel nut with use of a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent further secures the design while providing positive registration during installation. By design, the even pressure of the ATLAS system avoids distortion of the handguard often seen with current applications during installation.
All hardware mounting parts are included with the purchase of an ATLAS Handguard.

Aero Precision rail lengths measure from end to end. This is the point of contact at the receiver to the end of the last picatinny slot at the muzzle.

ATLAS Handguards are designed to match seamlessly with Aero's M5E1 Threaded Upper Receivers. However, they may not be compatible with billet upper receivers due to indexing tabs. Save when you buy them as a combo.

PLEASE NOTE: These handguards do not come with a wrench. A standard armorers wrench will work with all M5 ATLAS Handguards.

M5 Atlas S-One 12.6" Handguard

Man this Atlas S-One is so light, wispy and smooth. Looks fantastic on my M5 and feels even better. Installed on a 16" barrel with midlength gas system and it just covers the gas block nicely. If you're trying to shave some weight off of your carbine or rifle I don't think you'll find a better handguard, and Brownells had the best price around. And as always fast delivery.

best for the price

everything that i was looking for. I just wish it was a 16.5 " rail. Still for the price it is well made works great and sturdy. also quite light weight compared to others i have tried.

Probably great for sporter barrels

It's really low profile, nice handguard but I had to shorten the mlok screws and cheat the gas block so it didn't touch the guard. Faxon heavy contour 24" and a seekins adjustable block.

Love it

The fit and finish is great. Im a huge fan of the feel of a slim rail on a 308. The locking system was nice to use. I dropped it to 4 because the barrel nut has so much spacing between seats for the gas tube, i had to use tons of torque to get it just right. Great value. I will be grabbing at least one more.

No alignment

I was unable to align the included barrel nut with the gas tube port on my aero precision M5 upper. I used the included shims but they didn’t help. I wound up placing gas tube in the upper first then turning nut with a wrench . I’m sure it’s not 65 lbs torque. Gas tube was aligned with barrel, but it’s riding on top of nut. The hand guards fit over it. I’ll take my chance for its future at the range. The hand guard does look great on my upper tho. If I had proper barrel nut shims it would have been a lot easier and less frustrating.
