Perfect
Perfect, slid right into the bolt; no problems. Right size, right coating and right application. Love WMD products and Brownells.
Works Perfectly
Works as intended and looks good doing it. Fits perfectly in two different bolt carriers. An Alex Pro with nickel boron and a VooDoo low mass life coat QPQ carrier. One has an LMT enhanced bolt the other just a BCM milspec bolt.
Great Cam Pin
I bought this wanting a highly wear and rust resistant product that would last the life of my rifle. Instal was easy and went right into my Sharps Relia-bolt. I have about 400 rounds on this cam pin so far, and there is zero visible wear and none of the NIBX has flaked off. Carbon will get stuck to the finish though, and even with scrubbing under solvent I could not get 100% of it off, but that is no big deal. Overall, highly recommended.
Works like a champ
I'm not sure what the other reviewer's issues were with saying that it would not fit through their bolt, it dropped right in mine with no issues at all. They may be using out of spec parts. I have used several of these in builds with no issues at all. The Nib coating is very slick and this makes them function very well, even when not lubed properly and clean up is crazy simple. Even shooting suppressed through hundreds of rounds, the carbon and soot literally wipes of with no solvent, even when using cheap, dirty comm block ammo like Wolf, Tula and Silver Bear.
Does not fit
I figured it was worth the price point to try it out. But like the other reviewer stated, it will not fit into any of my bolts. Measurements show it to be between .001-.0015 inch diameter to large. It will not fully seat and it will not rotate in the bolt. On the bright side I have hours of dremel polishing into it and seems to be making progress and it is now too slick to hold. Maybe one day it will fit, but save yourself the aggravation and pass on it.
TO BIG TO FIT
I bought this for a upper build & liked the idea of the coating to reduce friction. But if you read the description carefully (I didn't) it is manufactured to Gov. M16 specs & then coated. Therefore the coating thickness added to the diameter & it was so tight (yes I oiled it) that it would not seat deep enough into the bolt to allow the firing pin to fully slide through the bolt to engage the primer. Brownells gun tech was very helpful & will replace it with a non coated DPMS cam.
