AR-15/M16 MOE™ TRIGGERGUARD

AR-15/M16 MOE™ TRIGGERGUARD Reviews & Ratings

Enhanced triggerguard has a shallow “V” shape that provides extra clearance for a shooter wearing gloves, and eliminates the gap at the rear of the USGI triggerguard that can trap or pinch finger. Smooth, ergonomically contoured surface and rounded edges protect the trigger finger from abrasion and won’t snag on the operator’s glove to impede the speed of target engagement. Replaces factory guard in minutes and requires no permanent alterations to receiver; reinstall original guard any time. Manufactured from high-grade, reinforced polymer that’s lightweight, almost as strong as aluminum, and resistant to heat, cold and moisture. Fits mil-spec AR-15/M16 and clones, as well as many AR-style .308 models; installation instructions included.

SPECS: Reinforced molded polymer, Black, Dark Earth,or O.D. Green. Includes roll pin, set screw, installation instructions. Fits most AR-15/M16 and AR-style .308 rifles including ArmaLite® AR-10®, Knight SR-25, and DPMS LR-308. Due to variances in manufacturer specs, minor fitting may be required on some rifles.

MAGPUL makes great products!
I have purchased MAGPUL products over the years and this AR 15 trigger guard lives up to the reputation that MAGPUL products have earned.

I have used Brownells for decades, always Very Pleased. Never got any product from them that was not Top Rate. Thanks, to all.

Works and fits well easy to install . Bridges gap from grip to guard comfortable .

My standard pick for every build
I buy this trigger guard for every build. It fits perfectly and makes the trigger available for a gloved hand without unscrewing anything. For me, whether building a .300 Blackout for CQB or a Designated Marksman Rifle for long reaches, the Magpul trigger guard is a must addition.

Very light, solid
This thing is so light, you almost forget it's there. It looks way better than the flat trigger-guard found in most mil-spec LPKs. The rear roll-pin is a simple install and seats well. The front set-screw, however, tends to be very tight and will bind. I can't tell if the driver I'm using is 0.001" off or what, but it does bind and then slip. It doesn't appear to be stripping, but it won't advance more than halfway unless you take a very fine file to the front trigger-guard hole to loosen it just the tiniest little bit. Not really a fan of modification of anodized parts, however, so I haven't done this. Still sticking out just a little. YMMV.

Bought another one
Bought this for the extra space required when wearing all but the thinnest gloves. I bought another Bushmaster rifle so I swapped out the trigger guard. You'll need a set of punches and a set of tiny hex keys to remove old and install new (Not provided). It is great fit, but then it is a Magpul.

Solid Trigger Guard
Great trigger guard. No spacer required for rear pinhole area where the grip meets the guard. Minor difficulties getting the rear roll pin into place, but with enough heavy hammer whacks, got it where it needed to be. I did mess up the finish on one side of the pin as a result though. Extended height makes it just fine for gloved use. Front is secured with a 1.5mm hex screw.

No Reason Not To
The MOE trigger guard is cheap, light, installs as smoothly as any of them will, fills in the dreaded gap in front of the grip, and opens up the guard for gloved fingers. It's durable thanks to Magpul's famously tough polymer, and it looks pretty good to boot. There's really no reason not to add one of these to your next order and stick it on your rifle.

Entirely pleased with this.
A purchase to upgrade parts for an AR-15 build, this trigger guard is tough, light, and easy to install with a little care. I used a press to install the roll pin and then a 1/16 hex key to install the setscrew, which had thread locker material already present in the threads. The color matches my Anderson lower receiver exactly, and the holes lined up perfectly as expected, making installation a snap. The overall look is very much enhanced using this trigger guard, and there is ample room for a gloved finger, a win-win situation. I like the fact that the material won't scratch like aluminum would, and the only down side is that there is no spring-loaded detent to open the guard for service, something that I don't forsee the need to ever do. This is a first-class upgrade to my lower receiver, and I would certainly use it again or recommend it to anyone doing an AR build.

Extra space for that gloved finger
Bought this for the extra space required when wearing all but the thinnest gloves. I installed on a Bushmaster rifle and you'll need a set of punches and a set of tiny hex keys to remove old and install new (Not provided). It is great fit, but then it is a Magpul.
