Great product

I needed a couple of milspec buffer tubes to replace the commercial ones i had for some new stocks. I have always gotten good products from Brownells. This was no different. They are well made and fit with no problems. Will continue to use Brownells and their products.

Good value, high quality

Worked well for me, together with a Hogue mil-speck buttstock. Snug fit, size per spec.

Good Fit

Went together very easy with no issues. I used it with the Magpul FCS fixed carbine stock when converting from A2 stock

Excelent finish, no marks or blemishes, fits perfect. Not much more to say.

Okay product

The product is a basic mil spec kit which is what I wanted but my only concerns are four of the position holes have I small hole all the way through instead of a blind hole. Granted they are small holes that get covered by the stock but of all the kits I've done this is the first. Also the end plate does not fit flush to the receiver, I tried my fathers novinski to verify it wasn't my lower out of spec but it is definitely the plate. Again I don't think it will be a problem and I plan to switch it out later anyway. All in all, doesn't seem to be as good fit and finish as others but when on sale, the price out weighs the cons.

Buffer tube looks pretty good. Matte finish, weep holes and threading look well machined. Spring looks a bit cheap as well as the actual buffer. The buffer looks like my son spray painted it a glitter beige. The lower receiver end plate looks and feels rough around the edges. At this price point I expected a smooth and even finish, but even the metal was not smoothed out after the plate was stamped. Poor quality all around for this price point.

Didn't last one day

Besides Brownells awesome 2 day shipping, this buffer was a waste of time and money. Like similar reviews, the nub that holds the buffer retainer broke off. This was on the first magazine of 9mm. I realize that 9mm is blow back operation, and you are applying a lot more pressure to the parts on the AR, but I would expect a little more out of a "Mil Spec" part...... Made for a short, disappointing trip to the range. Wouldn't recommend this item (at least for a 9mm build).
