AR-15/M16 FLATTOP RISER

AR-15/M16 FLATTOP RISER Reviews & Ratings

Machined aluminum riser clamps to flattop AR-15 receiver to position primary optic sights at eye level. Raises mounting height .750' to eliminate the need for extra-high rings in most applications. True, MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny cut accepts both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings. Two, easy-to-grip, slotted hex nuts accept a U.S. quarter for extra tightening leverage; full-length clamping bar locks riser securely to flattop receiver for zero movement even during harsh tactical operations. Precision CNC machined to ensure an exceptionally secure lock on the receiver rail. Smooth, curved front and rear contours on the underside provide a streamlined appearance, reduce weight, and minimize the chance of catching on gear. SPECS: 6061 T6 aluminum, hardcoat anodized, matte black. Approximately 5” (12.7cm) long, 1” (2.5cm) wide at the base, .975” (2.45cm) high overall. Adds .75” (1.9cm) to height of flattop. 4.8 oz. (136 g) weight.

Simply works
Great fit and finish. Allows scope to move forward or rearward if needed past flatop range of placement. I like heavy construction and that it is.

Perfect!
Raises my scope just enough to be allow for a good cheek weld to the adjustable comb. Much more comfortable shooting after installation.

Best riser you can buy
Ordered this for my new DPMS G2 in 7.62 NATO. Very high quality and fine craftsmanship. Installed easily and was VERY secure with the 1/2 nuts that tighten it to the rail. Top of the line.

The best that I have found
I have used several of these and just ordered another. Brownell's risers are the best that I have found, they are the perfect height for me and the quality has always been perfect. They are straight and true and mount easily. I especially like the two piece mounting system, I have tried some with a one piece mount that are supposed to slide on the flattop picatinny rail, and they usually won't fit. I will continue to buy Brownell's mount when I need another.

Excellent product
Easy to install. Just the right height for a 40mm objective lens on my flat top Rock River upper. In my opinion much more esthetic than high rings mounted on the rail.

I'm buying more of these!
I need some more height for my scope. I liked the look of this one. So, I bought one. Perfect for my needs. I sent it and another one that I bought to my son in the army. Now, I have to get a couple more for me again.

Unbeatable quality for its price tag
The market is flooded with this type of accessory with high end brands retailing over $100. The Brownell's rugged flat top riser cost less than half with excellent design, material and quality of workmanship to boost. It's a winner hands down. Perfectly suited for flat top AR's utilizing non folding BUIS sights giving the optic just the right height to clear the peep sight. 5 star all the way.

AWESOME!!!
I wasn't sure what to expect since this item isn't from a "name brand". I was shocked and am not sending this back! I ordered two other risers (Yankee Hill and some other one) with plans to keep the best... I'm keeping this one. It perfectly co-witnesses my Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 red dot with my standard A2 post. The quick release screws on the side allow me to take this on/off without having to take off anything else. The YHM riser I ordered requires me to take off my rear sight to get it on/off. I like the option to use either a flat-head screw driver or a socket wrench to tighten/loosen the screws. The coloration and finish PERFECTLY matches my Stag AR and would expect it to match other makes as well. This item is durable and will not fall off. The screws are hardened and aren't likely to strip. Brownells did an EXCELLENT job with this!
