AR-15/M16 END PLATE SLING MOUNTS Reviews & Ratings

Replaces factory receiver end plate and provides three secure, ambidextrous attachment points for the push-button QD sling swivel. Made of hardened aluminum with extra metal at the stress points to ensure this mount won’t fail during hard use. Rounded edges resist snagging on sling or other gear. Hardcoat anodized for extra strength and wear resistance, with a matte black finish that matches most factory buffer tubes. Heavy-duty stainless steel swivel accepts slings up to 1¼" wide and allows a full 360° of rotation.

Customer's Choice
A Clent had me build an AR45 w/4in barrel. All of the Client's ARs, MP5, and SBRs all use a Troy QD sling mount. This is a quality piece of engineering. Though, Ipersonally, do not use QD sling mounts they are 1st rate.

They work fine!
No Sir, my experience with this Troy sling mount is very good. I have used it on mil spec tubes, commercial tubes, and pistol only tubes. This mount worked on all of them. I used the Rock River 3 point wrench to tighten the nut. Those that have complained that it didn't work must of had a tube with shorter then normal threads. It works great. Mine has the attachment points on both sides and one in the middle. I couldn't ask for better

Another great product from Troy!
After reading some of the other reviews, I was a little hesitant about ordering this. I'm not a fan of "minor modification required". After disassembly I test fit every thing just to be sure and there was adequate clearance where needed and no excess where not. I installed this on my FN15 in about 15 minutes total and love it. Works great with the Troy single point sling. NOTE: There must be an updated version as the one I received has a third connection point at the bottom rear of part (where the print is in the photo).

Quality part
Quality product from a quality manufacturer. I really like the option of mounting sling on either side. This product is also compatible with Magpul STR stock allowing quick detach swivel from end plate to mount directly onto stock attachment point

Great product, no install issues
This endplate looks great and was easy to install. I had zero issues using the Rock River M4 Stock Wrench (brownells# AR0165)to tighten down the castle nut with this endplate. Can't wait to put a sling on this bad boy...

Not 360 of rotation
No problems installing with standard 3 point armoror's wrench or single point spanner wrench. However, the swivel does not provide for 360 of rotation as described. There are limit "stops" milled in just like Troy's rail attachment part 100-005-083WB. I would have preferred the 360 rotation as described in order to allow free movement of a 3-point sling.

Quality QD Mount but...
I love the QD 1-1/4" sling swivel type attachment and Troy makes quality products. The problem with this one comes when you try and tighten the castle nut on your buffer tube back down after the Troy plate in on there. Depending on the position, not all castle nut wrenches will work on this job. It is also very easy to scratch the threads of your buffer tube or other areas. You cannot use the three contact point type wrench to tighten it down because the QD points are in the way. So as long as you can get it tightened (I suggest the single contact castle nut wrench) it is a quality made product that looks very nice when installed properly and works as a great attachment point for a 3 point sling setup.

Does not fit Ruger SR-762
Great product, well made. Does not fit Ruger SR-762. Had to use a different adaptor.

Very difficult to tighten
The sling mount itself is great EXCEPT for one major flaw imo - you can't tighten it well with a normal 3-point castle nut wrench because the QD points bulge out. Even with an old style single point wrench it's awkward to do depending on where your notches are when it's time to fully tighten. You may end up having to try and tighten at an angle... and pray it doesn't loosen up with use. Come on Troy, provide better info on this before people buy it, or provide a tool with the sling to simplify this process.

Look before buying
Hello all, I don't know if I got a out of spec buffer tube but the castle nut would not let the mount go far enough back without the mount rubbing on the receiver. I had to file flats on the round parts to allow the mount to clear. Also it will not work with an oversized forward assist. Since I filed it I won't be sending it back but will eat the price and order another style. Where the quick detach are need to be set back a little bit
