BROWNELLS AR-15/M16 CRITICAL TOOLS KIT

The Brownells AR-15/M16 Critical Tools Kit is a meticulously curated collection designed to provide firearm enthusiasts and gunsmiths with essential tools for building, repairing, or modifying AR-15 and M16 rifles. This kit ensures you have the specialized equipment needed for various tasks without duplicating common tools already in your arsenal.

Description and Features:

Armorer's Wrench: Crafted from investment cast steel with a black finish, this versatile wrench is indispensable for installing and removing barrels with encapsulated or peg-style barrel nuts. It also features wrenches for flash hiders, M4-style castle nuts, and A2 buffer tube nuts.
Lower Receiver Vise Block: Made from high-density urethane plastic, this block securely fits into the magwell, providing a stable clamping surface in a vise without risking damage or distortion to the receiver.
Upper Receiver Action Block: Constructed from injection-molded Rynite, this heavy-duty clamshell block allows you to clamp the upper receiver in a vise for barrel installation, removal, or other maintenance tasks without causing crushing, twisting, or damage. It is compatible with both carry handle and flattop receivers.
Pivot Pin Detent Tools: This set includes two steel tools with a black oxide finish: one retracts the spring-loaded detent for complete pivot pin removal, while the other retains the detent and spring during pivot pin installation.
Bolt Catch Pin Punch: Designed with a flat handle to clear the left side of the magwell, this steel punch with a black oxide finish facilitates easy removal of the bolt catch pivot pin by driving it to the rear.

Great product

Its a very good product for a very reasonable price. If you build or are about to start building ARs then these tools are a must have.

Having the right tools

Life experiences have taught me that if you don't have the right tools for the job, the finished product will not turn out good. Just now getting ready for my first AR build and these tools look like they will help me achieve my goal of a nice looking rifle.

Must have for AR 15 enthusiasts

Must have equipment for the serious AR owner who knows their stuff. Quality construction and high value purchase. I did get the kit on sale but even at full price it's a great value. Buy it and get to building.

You'd pay this much for the blocks alone. The pin tools make installation a snap instead of launching detents across the room and inducing swearing. Be careful with the pin punch. Even though it is cut out for receiver clearance, it will mess up the finish if you're not careful. Masking tape might be a good idea.
