Machined aluminum recoil buffer comes in three weights, so you can select the buffer that gives the best combination of recoil control and reliability in your carbine with an M4-type adjustable stock. All have a mil-spec polyurethane bumper, durable hard-anodized finish, and the Spike’s logo. ST-T1 is a standard-weight (3 oz.) buffer filled with low-density tungsten powder (LDTP) that eliminates the noise and shock caused by the hard reciprocating weights found in the original-style factory buffer. Aids in smoother cycling and helps minimize bolt bounce. ST-T2 is filled with high-density tungsten powder (HDTP) for extra weight (4.1 oz.) behind the carrier to reduce cycle rate. Help you stay on target in rapid-fire semi-auto operation and improves controllability in full-auto. ST-T3 gives the most aggressive reduction of felt recoil and bolt bounce with ultra-dense tungsten bar stock weights inside (5.4 oz.) for maximum recoil control in full-auto mode, suppressed weapons, or rifles that suffer from overgassing.

Good to Go 350 Legend

The Spike's T1 with JP Power Polished carbine recoil spring lets the 350 Legend run with any ammo. Shaw upper on Sig P516 lower. The 350 can be a bit finicky with springs and buffers.

perfect for SBRs

works great, beautiful recoil impulse. Must have for shorter barreled ARs. I am running it in a 10.3 URGI. The T2 buffer has tamed down the recoil a detectable bit and should reduce parts wear. I have a law tactical folder installed too and it works great. 10/10 recommend

Works like it should

Changed eject to 3 o'clock. Reduced felt recoil. Saves wear and tear on the rifle.

Its a quality, quiet buffer. Thats all.

Runs well with my mid length gas/full auto BCG uppers. I bought it primarily because it is quiet. I hate the rattle of the loose weights in a standard buffer. It will not give any noticeable reduction in recoil, but may reduce some of the clack that reverbs into your cheek, depending on your stock configuration. Compared to a standard carbine buffer, it should slow BCG velocity but the trade off is it adds 1 oz of mass slamming the rear of the buffer tube, so any recoil reduction would be cancelled out. My gun runs flawlessly before and after install, so I didnt technically need this buffer but I am glad I bought it, and I will use one in my next lower.

Dropped it in and took my rifle to the range and I was very impressed with the reduction in felt recoil.

I'm always pleased when I get products that work as advertised. I purchased this heavy buffer for my 16" AR15 rifle. I also paired the ST-T2 with JP Enterprises Tuned Buffer Spring. Excellent combo for sure! I fired 40 rounds of Wolf 55gr steel case ammo today and not a single issue.
