Snap-on USGI-type replacement for your carbine’s factory-original handguard is made of tough, fiberglass-reinforced, injection-molded polymer that delivers superior impact and abrasion resistance. The ridged gripping surface and top/bottom vent holes retain the weapon’s authentic military look, while an internal heat shield of lightweight aluminum protects your hand from barrel heat. M4 model has standard-issue single-layer heat shield on upper and lower handguard. Fits AR-15/M16/M4 with carbine-length gas system.

fits ruger

I bought this for my Ruger AR 556 and it fits fine just need some force to install it but it fits!

Thicker Colt style. Love the look

I dont like all the jazzed up hand guards. Give me the traditional look and this product does that. Great price, quality product.

M4 Carbine Handguard, single Shield

I'm pretty handy, I tried to assemble the hand guards, with negative results onto my new 16inch AR015 barrel, I could not get it to fix. Took same to local gunsmith , (three) of them to get it to fit. Had to sand/file the upper inside of the two (2) halves inorder to fit. Should not be that hard.

Not good

I was not impressed these handguards. Granted, I know they're very low cost - but I was hoping for something that is American-made, it would be a little higher quality. The matte finish was chalky, poor-quality looking and feeling and they felt weak despite being the thicker M4 style. I would spend a little more money to get better handguards. This is my second pair of handguards from DoubleStar that I am not impressed with. Maybe I just got a bad couple.
