Convenient kit contains all the components needed to mount the buttstock of your choice on an AR-15 rifle or carbine. Perfect for stock conversions such as altering a rifle to accept a collapsible carbine stock. All parts are manufactured from the highest quality materials and held to strict dimensional tolerances for proper fit and function. Commercial carbine kit comes with 1.168" O.D., six-position receiver extension for use with commercial or “universal” buttstocks. Mil-Spec kit has a 1.148” O.D., six-position receiver extension for correct fit of military M4 carbine buttstocks. M4 buttstocks and clones will not fit Commercial tubes.

Totally serviceable

High quality parts, finish looks good and the price was right. It makes a little noise but Im not terribly concerned about that.

Good, but not as advertised

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt like I had to. In the question section they say the buffer tube is a Vltor and that it is a 5 position but it is actually a Brownells tube 080-001-046 and is a 6 position. The tube is good quality though, the only thing is there is some machining marks on the inside, other than that it seems to be built well. Everything else in the kit is good to go. If I would have know all this before buying I might have gone a different route. This is a good kit for a builder on a budget.

I paired this with an ACS-L Magpul

VERY nice fit here. Quality construction and it looks good too. Fit perfectly with the magpul stock I put on this rifle.
