Torque barrel removal tool
Excellent tool. Locked it down in my vice & worked super great holding my barrel rock solid in place so I could get that stubborn free float barrel nut to break free, sheeesh. Best part about using this tool is I don’t risk warping or otherwise damaging my receiver going into gorilla mode on that stinking barrel nut!

Receiver / barrel saver
Works flawlessly. Some nut attached a flash suppressor to an AR barrel without a washer or a lock nut, using locktite red. Heat plus 80ft/lbs broke it lose. No way I could have done it without this tool.

Good tool for barrel exchange.
I used this tool to change the barrel on my AR rifle. The tool makes sure you are not putting any stress on the upper receiver, all the force goes through the tool into the barrel extension.

what Ineeded
Invaluable tool for those really tight barrel nuts to remove and then much better torque control being applied in line with the barrel for reinstallation. No more worries that too much force is being borne by the upper casting during remove and replace operations.

Seems high quality
Does exactly what it says it does. This is a fine addition to my gun smithing tool box. Now I can properly torque barrel nuts. Im just typing now to see if i can meet the minimum 150 character review size.

Sig MCX Spear
Asked Brownell if this would fit the Sig MCX Spear in 300 BLK. Never got an answer. Took a chance and ordered this one . It does NOT fit the MCX. Also, the Magpul Bev Block does NOT fit the MCX. Trying to remove the factory flash hider/can mount. The water soaking thing hasn't worked so far. Trying again with 24 hour soak. Will try again with adding surfactant if needed. Great tool if it fits your application. It just wasn't exactly what I needed.

Two tools in one
One tool for both platforms is convenient and cost effective.

You Can't Beat Straight Line Torque !
When using a torque wrench on an AR-15 barrel it is sometimes very difficult to get the correct angles for the torque wrench to be accurate. With this barrel tool, it allows you to put straight line torque on the barrel thereby ensuring you get the correct torque from the wrench to the barrel. It allows you to use your vise to hold the armorer's tool, freeing up one hand to help stabilize the work...-> fewer slips and split knuckles and/or gouged finishes on the surface of your rifle.
