Lightweight gas blocks with integral MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails expand your AR’s accessory mounting options without adding excess weight or bulk. Lets you mount a backup iron sight, weapon light, laser sight, folding bipod, vertical grip, and other tactical accessories. Standard models fit barrels with .750" O.D. at gas port. 2-Rail – Two-piece, clamp-on design with top and bottom rails doesn’t require removal of flash hider to install or remove. Solid, easy-install gas block with rails

Great fit and finish. Looks good too. Solid product and a good value for a low profile block. Stock gas tube pin will be a little short, but just center it inside the gas block and it will be fine. Helps to have a starter tool for that pin as it is small and easily lost. It might be a good idea to just order a few of these pins when you order the gas block... just in case.

LR.308 Gas Block

I called and talked to a rep at Brownells and he suggested this gas block for my DPMS LR.308 C. Yes it states it is for the AR-15 but it does fit the LR.308 with .750 barrel. It fit like a glove and has four screws to hold it tight. I just put a full clip of 20 through the rifle today after putting it on and everything is fine. Checked the screw tork and all tight, no movement. The only thing is it takes a longer roll pin for the gas tube, but you can get by with the short one if you center it, a great gas block, the top rail is same height as main rail, just lay it all down on a flat surface and everything lines up to put it on. Gas tube fit was perfect with this block. Now my red dot scope works without the ghost image of the front sight in the scope, was a real pain shooting pigs after dark, now they will need to watch out. The bottom rail of this block now has a ND-3 green light lazer mounted. Also while doing the gas block change I lost the front QD-Sling mount that was on the removed gas block/front sight, I fixed that by adding a Harris Bi-Pod adapter #5 that fits the bottom handguard and works great, it comes with the QD-sling swivel. # 416-003-015WB also remomended by Brownells rep. Thanks it all worked.

Great replacement

I bought this to replace my factory front sight gas block. Fits perfect, easy to install, and very well built. I put my laser on the underside of the rail and can easily mount a flip up sight on the top rail.

Solid assembly

I have both the DS AR15 gas blocks in .750 I.D. versions. Both parts are very well made. Fit and finish are excellent. I gave extra edge to the 2-rail version for its two-piece clamp style assembly design versus the one-piece format of the 4-rail version tightened by three set screws. The three set screws will eventually loosen up if they are not secured by Loctite during prolonged firing. For heavy duty use, the 2-rail version is higly recommended.
