What else can I say
It fits. It works. It is fairly priced. It is a buffer tube kit. Would I recommend it for somebody else? Dagnabit, I bought one for myself. What else can one say?
Everything included for A1's or A2's!
It's a little pricy as most of Brownells stuff seems to be. However, it does come complete with all you need for either A1 length of stock or the A2 stock. None of this getting it in and then realizing you are missing that adapter or screw that is a different size to make things work.

This has exactly what you need to "putt on either an A1 or an A2 stock". Getting yours off is another deal altogether ! I can't believe the other reviewer was complaining about not getting the tools needed to take 'HIS' off !?? Glad he is not in my 'neck of the woods' and on my range. We got enuff' idjuts already that have no "muzzle awareness" as it is. Or the other guys trying to add parts to this kit that do not belong and will not fit correctly and then complaining how the buffer tube retainer doesn't catch?!? D,RD,RFD!! Oh well, Welcome to America of today w/ our "woke" insanity and senile leaders! This kit is perfect and does the precise job advertised. This is what you need, for those of us that know what we are doing.

Great buy
Used this kit to replace an adjustable stock with a skeleton stock. Could not have been easier. Remember, when removing the stocks plate of an adjustable stock, that there is a spring back there and the buffer retaining spring is held in by the buffer tube. The buffer tube easily threads on and holds the retaining spring and you do not need to use a wrench to tighten the tube because the stock will hold it secure once installed. Your choice. I have bought two of these kits now and have no issues with either.

Bought this for my precision AR build to go under a Magpul PRS Stock. Good quality, it went on easily, instructions were provided, and I'm happy with it. I'll be replacing the recoil spring with a flat wire spring (Hate the Spoooiiiinnnnggggg), but other than that it's good at what it does.
Works Great
Installed this kit on multiple ARs. Works with standard A2 stock and MagPul PRS. Should work fine with any stock designed to use the A2 receiver extension/buffer tube. Not sure why other reviewer had issues with installation. Sounds like they tried to use the carbine lock with the A2 tube -- this tube doesn't use a lock plate. Use assembly lube on threads and torque to correct specs.
Great kit, don't hessitate, get it.
Only thing I would add is a warning about the buffer retainer and spring getting loose as you unscrew the tube. I was busy watching the takedown pin detent spring when the buffer retainer escaped. Spending quality time on the basement floor with a magnet looking for a spring isn't much fun.
