Worth the Money
I've been running this for years now. I assembled a home defense 9mm SBR with this conversion block and a FM9 upper. It functions absolutely flawlessly and looks better than the original Colt converted lowers ever did. Reloads are very easy as the block has slopes that guide the magazine in even if you're a bit sloppy and pushing yourself. If you are looking to "permanently" (it can be removed) convert your AR-15 lower, there's isn't a better option on the market. Buy once, cry once.
Worked perfectly
This conversion block worked perfectly. This was my first 9mm AR that I built. Was a little worried about not getting a dedicated lower/upper kit so I did not want to skimp on a cheaper conversion block. The quality of the block is very high. Feels tough and fit perfectly into the AR lower with no wiggle room. I did have to install it prior to installing the mag release button but that's not any different than any other build I've done. The Brownell's Colt style magazines fit perfectly again very precise and no wiggle or sloppiness at all. The bolt held back every time the mag was empty. I put around 200 rounds through the combo with zero defects at all. No misfeeds, misfire, or anything. I am very pleased with this item and I know that it'll perform well for anyone.

This is the ultimate 9mm conversion block. Simple installation and flawless performance at the range! Three 32 round mags without a hiccup. Worth the extra bucks!!
Hahn conversion block is the best!
I installed this in a Spikes lower for a 9mm build. Easy to install. Worked perfect from the first round. Feed everything I stuff in the mags. 147 FMJ-TC, HP's, Even the Bayou 147 FP! Very much worth the price difference!
Very happy purchase
Decided to build a 9mm AR, but initially balked at the cost of this unit and installed the ProMag unit instead. The Promag unit would not reliably load any type of ammunition I tried. Brownells accepted it back and I exchanged for this unit. I wish I would have started with it! The machining is perfect and it reliably loaded both 124 Grain and 147 Grain FMJ with no problems. Admittedly, have only fired 100 rounds through it using Brownells 32 rnd magazines, but had no failures. If you do not want to go with a dedicated receiver, this unit is worth the cost. There really is no comparison. I tried inexpensive and it was cheap for a reason.
Worth it
Bought for a 9mm build on a generic CMC produced 5.56 lower, using a CMMG dedicated upper and CMMG buffer and Metalform Mags. Skeptical at purchase--but fit exceptionally well, and flawless in operation/function. The installation is benign--all you have to do is partially remove the bolt catch pin; temporarily remove the bolt catch long enough to slide the Hahn insert into the mag well from the top--then reverse the process. I think I spent 3 minutes on the whole deal. Bottom line: the quality and craftsmanship is recognized best when viewing and inspecting the device after installation. Precisely machined and finished. (Hence the brand name) And, Mag well has great machined tapers for mag fit. If you did not CLOSELY inspect, you might think this was a dedicated 9mm lower. I like mine--zero malfunctions and over 600 rds.
For the Serious 9mm AR-15 Shooter
Had not been impressed with performance of bottom loading and plastic blocks used by some of my shooting friends and was somewhat leary of them. This dedicated top loading conversion block is a semi permanent installation in your lower and not a quick change. The block can be removed but not as quickly as the bottom loaded units. Required very minor filing of the inside of my lower's mag well and removal and re-installation of the bolt catch. But, this is what makes this block as reliable as a dedicated 9mm lower receiver and it cannot fall out of the receiver! Functions flawlessly with the Metalform 20 round magazines and holds the bolt open after every last shot. Buy this one first and save money, you won't be disappointed. I am one happy 9mm Carbine shooter.
Excellent Product
We used this block with the RRA upper assem. and it feeds,ejects and locks the bolt open every time with both metalform and c products mags. After more than a 1000 rounds that is something for a 9mm AR.

Just got my Hahn Dedicated 9mm conversion block. It is worth every penny. It doesnt get any better. This thing is awesome. Perfect fit in my lower. Made extremely well. I have had other conversion blocks and this one is by far the best. Bolt hold open works perectly. I am very impressed. Thank you Brownells.
May require adjustment
Well made part. However, I had extracting issues which was easily fixed by just slightly bending the ejector closer to the bolt to ensure it was contacting the case head every time, firearm functions flawless ever since. FYI, I tried pro mags which were junk (figures), but the metal form mags they sell here are great!
