Simply insert the hooked end of the tool into the mag well, position handles over delta ring, and push down to compress the delta ring spring. Made of strong ¼" (6.4mm) steel rod, with synthetic rubber coating to protect gun from surface scratches.

Excellent Tool!

I received this tool a week ago and what a difference it makes removing a handguard on an AR15! I let my grandson try it and he was amazed at the ease he could depress the delta ring and hold it there while removing a handguard. Great AR15 tool

Really great AR15 tool. I wish I had gotten one a long time ago.

Amazingly Easy Handguard Removal

I don't remove handguards very often, but it is always a difficult and sometimes painful task. This tool makes handguard removal and installation a quick and easy job. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to others.

Great Tool

This tool is very robust and great quality. It fits as it should and made removing the hand guard on my AR15 very simple.

Does the job at a reasonable price

In spite of many reviews criticizing the weakness of the plastic coating and how this might scar the D Ring of an AR, I decided to purchase this tool. It worked as described and, in spite of the plastic coating fracturing, did not mar the handguard retaining ring. If this is a major concern for a potential buyer, I'd offer three options: Plan to wrap the plastic coating with duct or black electrical tape before first use; Spend the extra money and get a more expensive tool; Or, once upon a time a few scratches on a rifle stock were thought to "add character" to a firearm.

Worked easy. No problems. Would recommend over more pricey ones. Used many times in gunsmithing class on probably 50 rifles and never a problem. Was leery after reading some reviews, but those were put to rest after so many builds
