AR-15/M16 22LR BRAVO CONVERSION KITS

AR-15/M16 22LR BRAVO CONVERSION KITS Reviews & Ratings

Drop-in .22 LR conversion system comes fully assembled and ready to install in any semi-auto AR-15 to help you practice critical shooting skills with economical rimfire ammunition. Helps you concentrate on improving grip, sight alignment, trigger pull, and other skills without burning up expensive centerfire ammo. Simply replace the rifle’s bolt and carrier with the Bravo .22 LR conversion unit, load up the included magazine with round-nose .22 LR ammo, and you're ready to shoot. Precision machined from high-grade stainless steel for reliable function in any mil-spec AR-15 rifle or carbine chambered in 5.56mm NATO, including most gas piston systems. Note: CMMG recommends Federal 36 grain plated round-nose ammunition for best performance. Works best with round-style AR-15 hammers; notched hammers can cause function problems.

SPECS: Stainless steel bolt group, brass extension bushing.

Operationally fine
First one I ordered did not cycle properly. Brownell’s promptly replaced it at no cost. Replacement manually cycles just fine. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because I have not fired with it yet.

Cool AR ammo alternative!
Just ran both Remington and Blaze .22 through my LWRC SRB 5.56 today for the first time. Overall, it's a great easy .22 conversion for the indoor range. Had a few miss feeds on both ammo brands but overall pretty smooth feed. Definitely a great way to plink targets using your go to AR without the cost of .223 or 5.56 ammo every week. I'll continue to try different .22 ammo brands and grain to see what works best.

Cool gadget
I haven’t shot it yet, but installation could not be any easier. The magazines it came with are cheap and annoying to load because they have no pull-down tabs. So I ordered S&W mags which do have the tabs. Otherwise, assuming good function, this thing will be a fantastic money saver.

Lower targer cost
First shot, did not jam, but would not refire. Manually charged and no problem. Will cut shooting costs. Not much recoul at all. Perfec

One Size Does Not Fit All
The 22LR Conversion Kit worked well with my Colt AR-15. It was a perfect fit and worked as advertised. However, it was a bit long for my Ruger AR-15 and I was unable to close the lower to the upper with it installed.

Some ammo wont fit the magazine
Just purchased, it was on sale when I got it. Bought to plink of course. Works great however, the Win. Super X ammo it comes with wont run in the magazine. Dont plan to use it with the conversion kit. After 10 or so rounds it jams and you cant get any more in nor will the spring keep tension enough to eject the rounds out. Dont get frustrated. Stick with the Federal 36 grain ammo recommendation, they work great.. The Super X is just a shy too long. The Browning I have works fine. CCI works well too.

Great addition for practice
Fit perfectly without any modifications. Ran great with various makes of 22lr ammo but had trouble with subsonic ammo. Magazines were easy to use and fit without issue. Bolt hold open works till you pull the magazine out. Otherwise a great addition to run close range practices

Works Great
Im not a gun smith, so I was hesitant to buy this kit. It was easy to install! If you can clean your AR, you can install this kit. I have the S&W AR, and it was easy to swap the bolt with the conversion bolt. I have a bunch of old .22lr rounds of different makes and bullet type and they all fed smoothly with only one failure to eject. My only complaint is with accuracy. The .22s dont have the accuracy as 5.56 or .223.
