Meh
I was highly expectant when I got this. I was underwhelmed. Got it, went to the range, switched it in, loaded up the bullets, charged, pulled the trigger, bang! Pulled the tigger again, nothing. Jam. Clear the jam. Pull the trigger, bang, jam. Jam after jam. I switched out ammo (Iwas using Remington), now Winchester. Pulled the trigger, bang bang bang, jam. I had multiple shots per trigger pull, jams, or had to fire in rapid succession to not have it jam. I cannot recommend based on my experience.
Unhappy
Failure to feed and eject almost every time. Was very excited to get this conversion kit. It has not been dependable
SO Far. Im not impressed. Heres a couple observations
I originally ordered this about a month ago. Super easy to install. Each magazine holds 10 rounds. When I first shot it, it fire two rounds, then continued to double tap for me. I reached out to CMMG directly and they said it may be faulty. I got a new one lubed it up and cleaned it real good this time. Fire 1 round the first time, second time, and the third time it fire two rounds again. I switched magazine and it worked fine, until the casings started jamming it up. I switched the magazine again and it fire two rounds off and on. Im going to switch guns and see if this is the issue. I am also going to buy some different ammo. I am using federal 40gr. 22LR.
Do not recommend
I've had nothing but trouble with this conversion kit. I strongly recommend just buying a 22 long rifle pattern, AR instead of this conversion.
Will probably return them...
Would give it a better review but the first one I opened? 2 of the 3 included mags seem to have bad springs off the bat. Just when loading them the first time the spring seems to get stuck and doesn't want to push back up after about 15rnd are in. Mags also feel kinda heavy but cheap if that makes sense. Will see if it actually cycles or not next. Little disappointed as I ordered multiple of this kit.
Not satisfied with Brownells
I'm not satisfied with Brownells considering I purchased a new CMMG bolt and received a unit that had obviously been opened previously. I'm currently unable to test the bolt and will not know for at least a month whether the bolt is defective. When I pay full price for a new part I expect to get a part that hasn't been opened already.
